I've been sorta into dreams lately, probably because mine have been pretty vivid. Thought it might be neat to have a 'dream interpretation' sorta thread... just for fun, mostly, but by all means, if you're into that sorta thing, have more than fun with it. :biggrin3:

We can write down our dreams for the next person (or whoever wants to really) to tell us what it means. Be as crazy or as serious as you want.

Only thing is... I can't remember enough about last night's dream to write it down, soooo somebody else should start.

:cool2:

Another thing I'd like to know... What are your opinions on dreams? Are the wild ones just from eating two week old pizza the night before, or do they mean something more?

Dreams is our brain processing what's happened to us recently.Or so I've heard. Believe it or not it's your own choice. As far as I know we all dream we're just different in how much we remember. I for one rarely remembers dreams. And it's not like the things we remember make sense. You can have fun trying to get what they mean though. Dream Moods Dictionary can be helpfull. I've used it on someone else and sometimes it was scary accurate, often they way I saw things and not that person, while other things made no sense at all.

I dreamed once that Miss K finally came to her senses and started shipping Spuffy andCangel, but it was right after they changed my medication, so...

Miss K? And did you really dream this, or is it just wishful thinking? XD
I had a funn dream the other day (but I know what it means - or at least I know were they came from)

Firstly I have a friend with a convertible, which has tiny backseats.

Secondly I've been on this major superhero kick, So I've been watching Smallville and Justice League Unlimited.

My dream the other night was me and my friends were going to the cinema, and the Justice league from Smallville were coming with us, and we were trying to fit Superman, Green Arrow, Aquaman, Cyborg and Impulse (all from Smallville) into this tiny car.

but we're supposed to interpret it for you! ;-P I <3 superheros too!
Dreams are like your body's version of spring cleaning-- they sweep the irrelevant odds and ends from your mind leaving you refreshed and recharged for the next day. Or so I've read, and so I like to believe.

I rarely remember more than random snatches from my dreams, but my dreams are always totally random. All I remember from my last dream is I was at a video arcade with my class then everyone was bused to an art museum where we looked at exhibits, attended a fancy dress party, and got lost in the labrynthine hallways. It's also weird how if I wake up in the middle of a dream, and go back to sleep my dream will continue (my dreams go on for a really long time, banter and everything). Like a sequel or a T.V. show.

Yeah, it's weird.

'sweep the irrelevant odds away from your mind' -- love that, 'specially when I dream about my exes. XD
I've been told this is kind of weird, but does anyone here lucid dream? I only recently even found the name of it, and what exactly it was. It's basically when you wake up inside your dream, and sometimes you can change it to your liking. I've been able to do this at least once a month or two since I was like six. It really creeps me out though. My first memory of lucid dreaming is so etched in my mind it scares the crap out of me. It happened around the time I started Tee-Ball (six), and I remember dreaming of being on my town's baseball field. I was standing close to the bleachers, and all my teammates were sitting on them talking with their parents. I don't know how, but all of a sudden I just realized I was dreaming. I started whispering to myself "I'm dreaming.. I'm dreaming", then everyone stopped talking and started staring at me and laughing. Once I started raising my voice and yelling it, my throat started closing up and it felt like I was being choked until I finally woke up. I still think my dream was trying to kill me that night. x)

The bad part is, only a few weeks earlier I had a scary "dream" experience that totally outranks it. Nobody in my family will say they believe me, but this is how it happened. I know I had just woken up, I remember crawling across my bed to get up and go eat breakfast. I sat at the edge of my bed and started rubbing my eyes to get that hard stuff out of the corners and just normal habit I guess. Out from under my bed a hand shot up and grabbed me by the shirt. And this hand was like a grown man's hand. I remember it reminding me of my dads, but a bit bigger. Anyways, this HAND had a tight grip on my shirt and was trying to pull me under the bed. I remember I started screaming and was holding on to the bars on my headboard. Finally, right before my dad rushed in my room, the hand let me go and shot back under the bed. I was totally bawling by that time and my dad kept telling me I must have been dreaming. I know I wasn't, I don't care who tells me otherwise. I've never sleepwalked or had any similar experience before or since then. And the hand wasn't like a floating hand, it was like someone was under my bed and was trying to pull me under.

So, my opinion on dreams? I think they could mean something, but I'm fine without them really. :/

(Oh yeah, can't remember my last dream. 😛)

Oh, the joy of dreams, they give us something else to think about besides what's on the news.
Some folk say that the dream only happens in the last few minutes before you wake.
But why do you dream?
Is it due to what you ate the night before, or what was on the tv?
Personally, I think dreams can be caused. My gran used to have a dream with all the dead relatives in a room, at the end of the dream someone else would come into the room - the relative that would die that day.
Me, I sometimes have dreams repeat about a person for a few nights, then I meet that person who is always a ghost. Which is strange, as I haven't met the ghost who lives here. But, then again, there's always tonight. Happy dreams folks!

This happened regularly? Eery!
I heard that if you dream about someone you know, it means that you are thinking about them alot. Also, I read this true story when I was 4 years old, and this women's daughter was killed and she had a dream that her son-in-law killed her daughter and it turned out to be true, which scared me so much when I was young!

I believe you. It's happened to me, and I truly believe it was a demonic attack sorta deal. I know I wasn't dreaming because one minute (in my dream) I was climbing on monkey bars under a table at a bar (kind of a normal dream deal for me), and then I woke up, in my cousins bed (where I was spending the night). I heard a voice say, 'Is it safe to live here?' Then I saw a dark (man) figure at the door of the room. He shot across the room to the bed, then I couldn't see it anymore, but I could feel it. Felt like a hand was pressing down on my chest, keeping me lying down and making it difficult to breathe and talk. I started trying to scream, "Marrianne! Marrianne!" (my cousin), but no sound would come out, so I started grunting as loudly as I could trying to wake her up. ...She told me to be quiet. D: (She was still sleeping). I was trying hard to scream and sit up... When I realized that wasn't happening, I was like 'God, HELP.' And then instantly the weight was removed from my chest and I shot straight up (like the barrier breaking on a doorway for Angel once the living person inside dies, how he just almost falls in) and screamed (loudly), "MARRIANNE!"

Everyone but my cousin tells me it was a dream. ...and she did at first, that I was having a nightmare. Finally I made it back to sleep, and the next morning, she told me after I was asleep, it felt like someone was trying to choke her, like enter her body thru her lungs or something. 😵

Hey, Papa Bear, now we both sound crazy! What up! Like father, like daughter... XD

I've been told this is kind of weird, but does anyone here lucid dream?

I have, but only once. And nothing big either. Once a chase scene in my dream was dragging on so I said this is my dream I can just fastforward to the good parts and I did, just like a VCR.

And, I don't think dreams mean anything, either. But, I like to try to remember them because they provide cool story ideas. Like what Steven King does (or so I've heard). Only my dreams aren't nearly as creepy. 🙂
