Did i miss something or did Buffy have a brother that we didnt know?

Where did you get buffy having a brother from? Nothing in the show even implied that she had a brother.

it was the ep where Willow Buffy Xander and Giles dream about the First Slayer, and it was Xander's dream that Buffy tells him

when she calls Xander "big brother"? it was never fully explained but i took it as that is how she saw him, that Xander was her big brother metaphorically speaking.
