yeah...cause i'd think it were just my brain playing tricks...but those falkin prophetic dreams throw a monkey wrench into that theory...for me....so i don't know...maybe sometimes its like just my brain...and then sometimes its someting....astral...lol...as...

lets see....a dream....haven't dreamed in a while...don't know why...maybe i'm losing my edge...getting dull....lol...i gotta do something tomorrow...

K guys, I have a question.

I will not write all three dreams out here, but I have had three dreams the past week that involve my brothers (or at least one of them) and water. What is up with that?!
 
Rayne, thanks for the interpretation. It's like you suddenly know more about my life than I do. Soulgasm, does that mean that I have to steer the ship or keep scraping off the barnacles? Maybe I'm supposed to just learn about sea life...

Let's see what you and Rayne think of this dream theory.

As we all know, a very large percentage of our brain's potential is untapped........inaccessible.

I believe that we all, at varying degrees, possess in our mind talents that we cannot realize in the waking world, for some reason. They are locked away.....unable to be reached from the conscious mind, talents for art or music, or what have you.

But I think that once we go into REM sleep.....these talents are allowed to emerge.

Myself for example........in the waking world I cannot SING nor WRITE nor even READ music to save my own life. But I have many times over the years been able to write songs and compose complex musical pieces while in the dream state. And no, this isn't music that I might have heard while awake and it got stuck in the back of my mind.....these songs DO NOT exist in real life.....and let me tell ya, a lot of times those songs ROCK! LOL!
This music I write, and sometimes SING, range from orchestral pieces (I dreamt once Iwas scoring for a movie....), to Heavy Metal. I write these songs in my friggin dreams.....and their great!

And as for playing instruments.......sometimes I play the piano in my dreams.....which I can't play in real life......and when I go to my sister's house and try these notes I played in the dreams on my brother-in-law's Yamaha keyboard, the cords are EXACT! That's pretty trippy.

What I don't get is why certain people can access their natural talents, while others cannot access THEIRS? It's strange.

So, guys, tell me what you think about that? Am I only just dreaming, or could there be something to all of that?

Lol...oh man, I can hear the Gasm and Rayne now.....hurling expletives at me for writing this stuff and making their lives more difficult.....😛 😛 😛 ...................
 
lol....dude...you should try to develop those talents by taking some lessons man...i'm sure the talents will emerge then...you know how like michael jordan sucked...until he started to bust his ass...then his talent emerged...lol...i can just see oldie in beethoven garb..playing to rich aristocrats with hot chicks with corsetts..lol
 
I have had these dreams you speak of and I have to say that when I wake up I have a hard time understanding why I just can't do the thing I saw or HEARD myself do. I have done this with singing, painting and inventing...I believe that we do posess amazing abilities in the other 90% of our brains that we can not yet tap into on a concious level. But I feel that if we WERE to access them it would probably be on a level not unlike that of when we sleep.
However, I think it may be limited to what the MINDS capabilities are...I don't know that our minds could make our singing voices better unless you wanted to argue that our bodies are controled by our brains and if the other 90% of our brains held the capacity to make our bodies do things that we don't realize we can do...like altering our vocal cordes or something along those lines just to take singing for example...but then you are getting all Matrix like and that makes my head spin.
I believe that what your saying is posible, yes. I mean just take Autism for example. Some autistic people can pain perfect pictures, imitate 1,000 different voices, play the most complicated piano pieces after only hearing them once...but they cant function on a normal level day to day. We can't explain autism. We really have no idea what our minds could make us capable of if we could unlock it's mysteries... And perhaps in our dreams those mysteries whisper their possibilities to us. Daring us all to evolve into the kind of creatures that could handle the capabilities that such access would permit. But right now, I think we would all go crazy. So yes, I think it's possible but No, I don't think we are ready for what I believe that would mean aside from the brief glimpses we get in our dreams.

Um...I was just looking for this thread and I realized that someone actually Staked it...lol...funny...there will never be an end? 😱

I had a dream but could only remember part of it. I was in a town that was like mixing the 1950's bronx/gangster territory with western accents. It was odd yes. I just remember we were in a high tec style institution like the Initiative but the rooms had bars like in a prision. It was deserted but me and some guy (don't remember who he was) were down on a lower level for some scientific study (almost like something out of resident evil...)and got traped. Then I think I saw people on the other side of the bars. It was like the institution had come to life and I was yelling to them but they ignored me. I turned and looked at the bars behind us and I remember staring at them wishfully and my head got tingly and then the bars began to disinegrate and became a wall of huge butterflys that that took flight out the window into the day. But I don't remember anything after that. Hmmmm...

It pisses me off because I know I usually have very vivid dreams but fir quite sometime now I wake up and I can remember the FEEL of the dream but not the dream itself...🙁
 
hmmm..maybe rayne wants to become a scientist??

lol...rayne would probably be like a proctologist or something...lol...she'd give like free prostate cancer check ups....

Yeah, well, I agree that the best person to analize your dream is you. Anyone can tell you what they think but really, you gotta learn to write it down and pick apart the scenes. What was around you, what stuck out, how did it make you feel, what was the condition of the things involved...it's really not that hard but it can be if your analizing a brain that you don't know...It's POSSIBLE but it's really only helpfull in a sense that it can push the actual dreamer in the right direction. Getting them thinking that way. 🙂

BTW, Chasity...I need more details hon! Where they in a pool, the ocean, the bath....were they DRINKING the water? What was the condition of the water? How did you feel about them being near or in the water? Stuff like that...any detail is helpful hon. 😉

Last night I dreamt of Milla Jovovich. She was firing a shotgun, mowing down zombie after zombie. Then she pointed it at me. Wait a moment, I'm a zombie! Then as she squeezed the trigger I awoke!
 
Last night I had a strange dream. California was being over-populated by immigrents, so they had to take the actual legal people and spread them out around the country. So I got the call and on xmas eve, they were supposed to send me to my grandma's ranch in Ohio, but I ended up at the farm in "the simple life" because Paris and Nicole ran away and they needed quick replacements. So they put me to work, but I was crying because I missed my family, and I went out to the barn and it was like a nightclub or something. Thats about all I remember. Usually whenever I dream I have pretty strange ones.
 
lol...freaks dream mich...i think you wanna get away from it all...but are still attached to your family...all of that clubbin and simple life fame all points to you wanting to make it big yourself...i think you gotta find a equilibrium between your independence and your dependence on your fam...
 
Doyle, I think it's possible you could have been watching too much tv but, there may be more...here is a possibility to consider...In my mind zombies are creatures that are fuled by a basic desire based on self preservation. A desire to feed. Maybe YOU have been feeling a need for more stimulation. A need for something more than you have going for you at the moment. Maybe this could have something to do with self image as well.

Michelle, where I LOVE Soulgasms explination and believe that it is most deinately true (especially for anyone who still lives at home or who's family is always butting in) But I'm going to go into it just for the hell of it because I love dreams. 😀
Maybe California is a representation of your life or life as you know it.
The immagrants could be representing a problem(s) in your life growing and or multiplying. Maybe you feel those problems taking over.
Where I wish I knew what your'grandmas ranch means to you, when I think ranch I think quiet and secluded. Maybe a need for some peace and/or escape from things.
The Simple Life concept to me is you take these crazy party girls and put them where they just don't belong and put a quiet comunity under the microscope. So where you may feel a need for some reflection you find yourself in this chaotic environment where little is what it should be or how it apears and everyone is in your business.
Family, with most people, often represents comfort and familiarity. A need for a break from the chaos perhaps? Someone or something to comfort you and maybe a wish that they would just take care of the mess like mommy and daddy often do when we are small.
LOL, I am probably SO off on this but I would say that you need to take time out for reflection. Take care of YOU. Decide where the madness stops and you begin before those immagrants take over the world! 😛 And where it never hurts to seek comfort in the ones you love just be sure that you are learning to handle yourself without needing to fall back on anyone or others butting in. 😉
