I've been having the weirdest dreams for like the past week, and my partner encouraged me too share them on here, because he thinks that they aren't normal and that other people dont have dreams as weird as mine 😛 lol
Like for example, last night I had a dream that I had a baby, who I was very attached too, but everyone I showed it too, including my partner, they would go very silent and would refuse too look at the baby. And I also went to prison where my mum was to show her the baby.
But nothing in that dream is real in my life, I have no children and my mum isnt in prison.
Does anyone else have really weird dreams too? I dont wanna be the only one 😛

I have VERY weird dreams, love dreaming though, it's free 😉

You should look up your dream meanings online, it could reveal somethings about yourself.. OH MYSTERIOUS!

lol true 😛
Yeah I should do that, when I was writing the dream I was thinking that there could be some meaning behind it. Its spooky tho 😛

RE:

Oh, I've got you beat sweetie. I have some pretty bizarre dreams. I had a nightmare a few weeks back that my house was being attacked by zombies, and somehow my daughter ended up outside. Before I could get to her, a zombie attacked her and I jumped through the window screaming and went all "Alice" on their arses. SOOOO very crazy. Not to mention there was some hot guy that I didn't even KNOW there. LOL...So yeah, crazy.
And then there's the one last week that I had where I was at a BTVS convention inside some hotel, and everyone I knew from the boards was there. We were all dancing and talking- blah, blah...And I knew who everyone was, but nobody (except for one person) had a face! LOL....

Okay, please don't try to psychoanalyze me, I know I'm insane. 😉

Lol thats crazy! 😛 At least I can tell my guy that there are peoples with weirder dreams than me lol I was starting to think that I was extremly weird 😛

Oh jesus! Sounds like a horror movie@
My dreams have always been weird. Few nights ago, I dreamt of being at a party when several Willows showed up (Dark Willow, Vamp!Willow, HighschoolGeek!Willow etc.) and since I happened to have super powers in the dream (lol) I decided to take Highschool Will backpack and travel with her through time to change history, preventing her to turn into Dark Willow later on. Unfortunately, that messed up things badly enough to cause some kind of "backwards nuclear explosion" over Sunnydale, having the mushroom cloud hang in the sky and weird shockwave ripples in a star pattern destroying everything and killing everyone in their wake... except for myself and Will on my back.

Since being on medication, I also quite often wake up shouting at people (i.e., I shout at someone in the last scene of the dream, and wake up shouting these words in the real world). I always embarrassedly hope my neighbors don't mind. Never had that "problem" before the meds, though.

And as for Spoons' suggestion for online analysis... well, don't use a Freudian site for that. Spare your time and just use the "Freudian die" I described in the German subforum (I don't think you really need to understand German much to get it 😉 ).

Well as long as Willow is ok it´s all good. ;)
I used to have Horrible nightmares when I was younger mainly about Rawhead rex and me being chased by him in my nighty. Yeh and waking up and all alone in the world and its only me silence no music or sounds.

Yet last night I had a nice dream about me planting poppies in a Farm . It also has a yellowbrick road I do love the wizard of Oz .

oh were doing dreams in psychology today! i have random dreams..but man freud's interpretations of them are...interesting to say the least.

ah ah, I think I beat you all. OK, I can't beleive that i'm going to say this online but In almost every dream I have, there is going to be a weird bathroom full of toilet, but the walls of the cabin are only like two feet high and there is usually no doors. It's so tromatizing and It happens all the time. What the hell is it suppose to mean

-Blaze-

still can't beleive I said that

A dream I dreamt a few days back"¦

There's an old freight train being drivin down a track. It's rusty, driven, falling apart. It's a remnant of the old days, before planes and cars. It used to carry cargo to faraway places. There's a girl driving it. She is scared because she doesn't know how - yet she somehow found herself there. There are trees as far away as she can see. There is nothing else.

The train flees down the tracks, scaring away small creatures as it roars past. Suddenly, abruptly "“ the train stops. Just dies like that. The girl unbuckles herself and walks to the back of the train. She gathers her things and starts to walk out the door. Then she sees a box of kittens sitting on the bench. They are mewing softly, sleeping. It occurs to her that they will die there alone. She grabs them and walks out of the train, shutting the door behind her.

She starts walking. She has no idea where she is. She knows she is in the wilderness, but she doesn't know where. She notices how there are no birds of any kind. There is no noise. Just the soft mewing of the kittens as she walks. The farther she walks, the kittens start to awake. She notices there are all colors; a calico, a black and white, a tabby. There is even an orange one. Some fall out of the box and the girl must stop to pick them up and carefully return them to the box.

After walking for a couple hours, the girl is getting tired. She sees a clearing in the distance, and the closer she approaches, she sees there is a house in the middle of it. A woman is sitting in a lawn-chair in the yard. The woman waves to her. As the girl approaches, the lady yells:

"Becky? Is that you?" The girl doesn't answer. She walks up to the lady until she is standing in front of her. She sets down the box of kittens. The kittens crawl out and scatter around the yard. The girl notices she still can't hear any birds, which she find very odd. The women then says;

"We haven't seen you at the church. You're mom's been there. Where have you been?"

The girl responds is confused. She has no idea that this woman is or how she knows her name. She responds with:

"You must have the wrong person. I don't go to the church. I never have."

The woman looks puzzled.

"You don't? I was sure I saw you there"¦"

"No, you have the wrong person" The girl said clearly. She needed to be heard over the kittens. They were meowing very loudly, curling around the girl's feet. She started collecting them again and putting them back into the box.

The woman sighed. She petted the orange kitten. It was rubbing its head on her ankle.

"Well, you should consider making a visit. There are people there. Family." The girl nodded absentmindedly. She looked at the orange kitten, which had jumped onto the lap of the old woman.

"You can have that one. He's yours." The girl said. She smiled. Then she picked up the box, and started to walk back into the forest, towards the train tracks.

Okay, my mum recently introduced me to Freud-inspired way of analysing dreams (She's a bit into those things). It's a very interesting way of looking at dreams (don't be afraid, it has nothing to do with sex and oedipus-complexes. It's basically taken from the Freudian (or maybe Jung?) idea that dreams represent your own subconsciousness, and not the future, or what other people think about you or something, like other conventional theories. Repressed phantasies can be a part of this, but in this way sex with someone does not mean you want to have sex with that person, since the other person is just a combination of a feeling from your subconciousness and the first random face it finds in your consciousness. Sometimes it can have a meaning, but then you have to look at what that person means to you. For example, if it's someone you hate, it could mean that you want to/have to/need to/are busy to make peace with a part of you that you hate. You know?). Basically it says that everything in a dreams represents a part of your subconsciousness. Things you repressed and so on. In your example, the baby clearly represents a part of yourself that you're very fond of. The people in your dream are other characteristics of you. Etc. Do you want me to continue? (Ofcourse I don't know you, but the reason that you dream about it in this way suggests that you're repressing something. If you're interested you can pm me or something. If you're not, just tell me to piss off 😀)
I'm not a pro or something, I only read part of a book, but this way of working with dreams really gripped me, it seems all so logical. And I like logical. And I like thinking about weird things, like dreams, and trying to see the logic. So if anyone else has a dream for me, you'd make my (otherwise rather shitty) day 😛

Anyway, I recently had my first Buffy-dream. The Buffy part was only a small part of the dream, but it was most definitely there. I remember kicking some demon butt in nice leather pants. (In my dream analysis-line of thought, I chose "someone else", some part of me that I'm not familiar with, to fight off some demons, ie parts of me I very strongly dislike (It were quite a lot of demons, I can tell you) Why my subconsciousness chose Buffy, I think because there was this strenght that needed a picture so it "scanned" my consciousness for a strong person. This whole story probably means that I'm dealing (or need to deal with) something. Now I need a proper psychoanalysis session to find out what's going on up there ^^. This one is very hard btw, because I don't remember much of the rest of the dream.)
Oh, and I think you migth be interested to know that I sort of lost the fight 😱

Btw, LifeIsJustThis, I can felt a very interesting analysis coming when I read your dream. Interested? It is free ^^ (First timers bonus. Afterwards it will be one karma post per session 😛. I know, I'm a capitalist)

I'm not very good at sleeping, dreaming, living, etc. I wake up mumbling, talking, screaming, everything. My mum told me once that I was screaming all night in my sleep, I think that's just weird. I used to have conversations in my sleep with whoever was about, I don't get many visitors now..

I always have a recurring dream, or nightmare, of a bus driving off a building ('Speed' style), and landing on my neighbours toe, it's weird.

I really like dreaming, but it can get scary and/or weird, it's strange how the brain works.

Alright. So I just had my first Buffy-themed dream last night...I guess all this Buffy-Boarding is getting to my head 🙂 They say that if you spend a lot of time doing something, it's logical to dream about it, yes?

Ok. So here goes. I can't remember it very well but

I feel like a real moron telling this to you guys...but here goes.

I'm running down the halls of a huge college dormitory. All the doors are shut. I realize I'm lost. I walk into some student lounge, and there's a few students sitting on this couch watching "The Brady Bunch" in black and white on this yellow television. They stare at me, and one of them says,
"You don't go here, do you? You go to that private school on 77th." I reply,
"You're right. I'm looking for Buffy and Spike. Have you seen them?". They all look at each other and giggle, then say a few things I can't make out to each other. The same one that spoke to me says,
"Good luck finding them. They're always in that room, all day, every day. Every year. They won't leave eachother." He goes back to watching the television. I stare at it. It's on mute. I say,
"Don't you like the volume on?" A girl says, while still staring at the TV,
"Nah. We already know the words. It's all been said before, anyway. It's a classic, you know. The way this show reinforces traditional family values." I turn away and keep running down the hall. I take the elevator to the 6th floor, but it's broken, and keeps trying to drop me on the 3rd. I finally get to the 6th floor and walk around, putting my ear up to every door. Finally, I get to a pink door and hear them talking. They're laughing. I knock loudly and say,
"Spike! Buffy! I need to get in! I need to know the answer!"
They ignore me, and continue laughing, and then I woke up.

Any thoughts, guys?

Yay! Analyze me please...🙂

Okay, here we go. I'm just going to write down some associations I get. You will have to tell me if I'm digging in the right direction ^^

The train is, *obviously*, some part of you that's been with you for a long time. It's old and rusty which, and it stops and you leave it. This might indicate that you either have to leave it (because it doesn't belong with you anymore) or that you already left it. Since the train (that particular part of you) scares you and it is going nowhere, it's a good thing to leave.
However, when you leave the train, there are parts of it (your stuff, and, more importantly, the kittens) you don't want to leave behind. So you take them with you.
Then you're walking in the wilderness. You've left something old and now you are somewhere new. It scares you, but you have the kittens, so you're not alone. Some try to leave you, but you get them back (because they belong with you).
Just when you are getting tired, you come to a clearing. I don't know how you felt there, but I guess it was a relieve to be out of the woods?
The woman knows you, and wants to tell you something. I think the woman (how old was she?) is your subconsciousness, trying to make something clear to you. It scares you, because you don't understand it. But you listen and engage in a sort of conversation. You are prepared to listen to her.
The woman tells you to go to church. Churches are safe places. Your family is there, which makes it an even nicer place to be. You've never been to church, or at least, not as far as you know. But the woman has seen you there. You are not really interested in what she says, or at least, so it seems.
You have to take care of the kittens. You want to keep them with you, but one wants to stay with the woman. It trusts her. You don't mind leaving it with her. With your kittens safe and close to you, you go back to where you came from. Do the woods still scare you? Do you want to go back to the train? How do you feel about going back? Are you actually going back to the train? Or do you just really want to leave the woman?
It is important to think about how you felt about all this, your feelings and everything are very important, since it's the way your subconsciousness usually communicates with you. If you were happy to go back, it means that you have made peace with your "train", for example.
All this could indicate that you want to (or should) leave something, a part of yourself. But you don't want to leave it completely, hence the kittens. Leaving it is scary, but you're not alone. Another part of you wants to help, it tells you to go somewhere safe. You feel like you have never been there, but apparently, you have. Because you have seen yourself there. Maybe you didn't realise it was safe. You leave some of your old things behind, but not completely cos there's part of you watching over it, and you go back. (Now I'm completely guessing, but it wouldn't surprise me that, if you'd come back to the train, it'd have changed. Maybe it would be working again, or your family is there.)

It is important to remember, that dreams don't predict, or give advice. Everything in your dream is part of you, it has nothing to do with anyone else. The fact that you dream in images is because your consciousness wants to stick images on your feelings. What those images are can be important (like I already said in my other post) but they don't have to be. It's more important how you feel about them and what you do with them. Dreaming simply allows you to access feelings you don't have time for, ignore, or repress when you're awake (the best example of these dreams are the ones where you are all alone. No-one likes to be left alone, but we don't care about it because when we are awake we're usually not alone, however, after a fight with a loved one, for example, we subconsciously fear to be left alone, and we dream dreams like that. Or at least, I do, sometimes). Or, alternatively, it's a way to deal with stuff some more than you usually do (for example, if you're under loads of stress you might have stressy dreams. But since you already know about the stress, it's just a continuation of the stress you experience during the day.) If you suspect it is the former, you might want to talk with someone about your situation, like a friend or a psychotherapist, or write it down (the old letter to yourself-trick is apparently a good one, and much cheaper than the therapist. Just write about your feelings, things that seem relevant to your situation, how you feel about it, etc. Let off some steam.)
(That last bit is some free advice for everyone 😛)

Also, not all dreams are suitable for explanation like this one. Some are just feelings you had during the day, things you experienced, revisited. Like watching a scary movie and then dreaming about it. (although, those could have a meaning. That you dream those after watching the movie, can be because your subconsciousness finally found a nice image to use)

Anyway, I'm developing RSI, so I'll call it quits. Good night, and sweet dreams ^^

Last night I had a rather vivid, confusing and mildly bugging dream. It was set at my home in Germany and I was sitting in the living room together with my mother and had my laptop and was chatting away to my best friends, when I suddenly decided to go and run away. I walked all the way to the main road and then continued on walking and behaving oddly until I got half way to the city center and then decided to turn round with watering eyes. So I was hungry, and it despite being very dark and actually raining I found a small store and planned to buy something, as soon as my eyes would have dried up. For some odd and peculiar reason my grandfather showed up and bought me food. Then I was happy and took a bus home, because I felt guilty about it all. By then the sun was shining now and the sky was perfectly blue. At home I said sorry to my mother and I tried to go back on to the internet and say sorry to my best friend, for just living into the blue and not telling her, that I was going, but for some odd and peculiar reasons my computer only opened one ICQ window, which had nothing to do with my best friend and the rest of my screen disappeared into literally dark clouds. Very odd indeed. Finally it all finished with my mother, grandmother and I sitting at a breakfast table and eating eggs. By then I had enough and woke up.

It sounds very odd, but at the same time very alive, especially that crying bit, because my eyes were sore all morning long 😀

I had a sleep earlier on today, and I dreamt I was at a party in the southside, everyone was having a laugh and there was Christmas trees everywhere. But I freaked out, and hid in the corner eating oranges out a bowl and scratching my face.

I woke up with a nose bleed too.

I had a dream about Buffy boards! 😱
Well, there was a part about BB, which I've been trying real hard to remember, so the rest I forgot. I dreamt that my sister (who doesn't even like Buffy & co) was also a member and that we were sitting next to each other, buffyboarding. And I was going to make a Spike and Drusilla skin, because there isn't one. And my sister said she thought it a good idea and went looking for nice pictures because my google wasn't working properly. And that was it. Weird, eh?

I have dreamed of Ronnie Corbett telling me a story, swinging his lil legs in that chair he used to have on the Two Ronnies. Once, Elton John sang Crocodile Rock on his Baby Grand at the bottom of my bed, dressed in a red sequin suit... Someone I used to work with said 'some women dream of George Clooney, others Brad Pitt. You dream of old midgets'.

Sad but true.
