We saw the Buffy from Cordy's wish verse, and she wasn't a particularly pleasant person to be around. My question is, what would Kendra and ultimately Faith have been like in that universe?

Edit: Okay, that was rather more flippant than I meant to be. I don't think Kendra would last long at all, for the same reasons she didn't last long in the non-Wish-verse. And I think Faith would have become a monster and somehow gotten herself killed. Like Buffy only more so (which is really Faith's whole place in the Buffyverse, isn't it?).

Yeah agreed that Kendra would've been screwed. I think she was far too weak, maybe not physically but emotionally. Faith would, if not called, be doing something really evil. Or maybe be a vamp with her own crew. She just seemed like she'd fit in with the whole vampy Bronze vibe.

Would Kendra have even been called? The Master killed Buffy in the Buffyverse in The Prophecy but Buffy in the Wishverse wasn't in Sunnydale to be killedat that time. Going on series timescales it would have been 2 years after Kendra's 'supposed' calling, so would she have not been considered too old and the next Slayer in line been called i.e. Faith. Kendra might have lived a long happy life or been killed as one of hundreds of victims.

I don't know if Kendra and Faith would be much different. Buffy was the way she was because she didn't have her friends around her but Kendra and Faith never had any friends anyway. WishverseBuffy was actually kind of like Faith for that reason aside from they may have existed at the same time. Anything else (i.e. Faith gaining friends etc) would be a matter of chance but she would still be the girl who's mother neglected her/beat her.

I don't think Kendra would've been much different. She'd been indoctrinated with the Watcher's rules from early on. I don't think those two years would've made a difference. If she'd been sent to Sunnydale after the events of the Wish, I don't think she would've lasted too long. On the other hand, it did seem like Buffy put a dent in the Master's plans and she definitely decreased his forces, so maybe Kendra could've finished the job.

As for Faith, well for her being called half a year later might've done wonders. Maybe around that time Kakistos wouldn't be around and she'd still be with her first Watcher. Faith just might've been better off in the Wishverse.

Neither Slayer would be, well, a Slayer. It took Buffy drowning and being revived to call Kendra, and Kendra dying to call Faith. And who was Buffy drowned by? The Master. Who she doesn't meet till two years later than originally in the Wishverse. If you're talking AFTER the events of The Wish though...probably dead in a ditch, both of them.

I'm assuming that as Buffy died by the Master's hands in the Wishverse eventually anyway, Kendra, and eventually Faith would have been called.
Saying that then, Buffy in the Wishverse was a bit of a bitch and kind of robotic- there was no real emotion, all 'wham bam' get the job done type of thing. And that's alot similar to what Kendra was like when we first meet her (except Buffy clearly still had a more independant streak than Kendra, even in the Wishverse).
So I'm thinking that maybe Kendra would have been pretty much the same- it seems like that's the 'proper' way that a slayer should be, if you understand what I'm getting at- just get in, get done, get out, no muss, no fuss. And as Kendra was like that anyway, I doubt she'd have changed too much.
Faith though, is a harder question to answer- she's the way she is because of her past, her childhood, and then Kakistos and her watcher getting killed. There's no real way to acertain whether or not that would still have happened, but I have a feeling that not too much would have changed there either- would Buffy not being in Sunnydale have had that much of an effect of Faith's life? Not really, and I doubt she would have come to Sunnydale as she only went there to meet with Buffy in the first place. I do think that she would have crashed and burned alot quicker than she did, and would probably either be dead or a vampire-slayer-vampire by now, because she wouldn't have the grounding influence that Buffy and the Scoobies did give to her life, however short-lived it was.

Funny enough, in that episode, in the scene where Vamp Willow and Xander are going back to The Bronze - there's a brief flash of a vampire feeding on a young woman who I've always sworn to be Faith. So, I've just always assumed she was dead in The Wishverse. As far as Kendra, I can only assume she was never called since Buffy never made it to Sunnydale to be killed by The Master, and as someone mentioned - by this time she may have been too old to be called. This was always my interpretation anyway.

It's not faith, its been discussed a lot but if you take a closer look..nope...not eliza. There's a screencap of it in one of the threads somewhere.... but yeah i thought it was her too.

But, she wasn't! Nor did it seem as though she had knowledge of Buffy still being alive either.
That is rather significant, especially for the Watcher's Council. Do they really talk to each other or was the memo simply lost?

It's interesting that Faith claimed Sunnydale was supposed to be her town, and was sent on other missions by her Watcher due to this fact.
Also of note, it seems as though in the Wishverse, Joyce never chose to move to Sunnydale, but Giles had been expecting Buffy anyway.
Why? She obviously had a different watcher whom Giles knew to contact, even if the Watcher in question wasn't sure if the message would get to Buffy. So why was Giles still expecting her as guardian? If anything, the fact that Kendra was not sent to Sunnydale gives the impression that Buffy being a permanent guardian of the Sunnydale Hellmouth was a prophecy that was fulfilled, where in the wishverse it was thwarted by happenstance. After Buffy's death in the wishverse, would Kendra (assuming she was still next in line) have been sent to fulfill the prophecy?

All of which raises another point, did Buffy overstay her time in Sunnydale after her death and revival in the normverse?
Was Sunnydale only important enough prophecy-wise regarding the prevention of the Master's release?
There does seem to be 2 seperate prophecies regarding this fact... the Harvest and the Anointed one.

I'm curious as to the wording of the prophecy itself:
"And there will be a time of crisis, of worlds hanging in the balance. And in this time shall come the Anointed, the Master's great warrior... The Five will die, and from their ashes the Anointed shall rise. The Brethren of Aurelius shall meet him and usher him to his immortal destiny. ...the Slayer will not know him, will not stop him, and he will lead her into hell."

Since the Master was seemingly successful with the Harvest in the wishverse, what other meaning might this prophecy have?
And which slayer could it apply to?

Faith just might've been better off in the Wishverse.

I think this is possible. Given the prophecy above, maybe not.

In the Wish-verse Faith was dead. You see her neck being sucked on outside the Bronze as Vampy-Xander and Dracu-Babe Willow were headed into the Bronze to meet with Mr. Punch-Mouth.

Kendra in the real world was socially awkward, not allowed to be around boys, have friends, yadda-yadda. In the wish-verse she be reeeaaalllyy popular. *wink* 😀

Faith - I think faith would have been even more damaged than she is! If a world like that does that to Buffy think of wat faith would be like , i think she would be all about just killing and talking what she wants from anyone and nething. She would be a big bad even or even want to get changed into a vampire so she could be even more powerfull x


Kendra - I think kendra would be superslayer not fased by anything, just doing her job a loner but maybe with more clothes and a better accent?

Oh and in wish land Buffy would have had to die for them to be called , so who would kill kendra after the master kills Buffy?
