Drew Goddard Joining Lost

[Whedonesque] Drew Goddard signs two-year deal for Lost.

Mutant Enemy's tallest writer will join the Lost staff as supervising producer this summer. And J.J. Abrams says Lost will be a better show with Drew on board. "Drew is a rare breed: a genre writer who crafts truly inspired characters and lyrical, emotional scenes".

I really like this idea, and at the same time kind of hate it.

The ultimate Drew is hands down my favourite ME writer, and he's already written at least one of best Lost episodes ever. I like Lost. It can only get better.

At the same time I hate to see Drew get locked into something. I had high hopes he would become the next Joss Whedon or Tim Minear, and do his own projects.

I really hate the fact that that means there has to be at least two more seaons of lost. It'l never keep up. The shows good now but people will lose inteerest after a while. Much like twin peakes.

I believe this was announced after the boards went down.

Drew Goddard wrote for the last season of Buffy and Angel and is currently on Alias in it's last season. Now comes word that he will be joining J.J. Abrams' other show, Lost, for it's 3rd season.

He's really on a roll. Four great genre shows in a row.

Oh dear. This was a double post so I deleted the other one which actually had some other stuff in it. I think SlayerPower said something in the other one about Drew Goddard writing the episode Outlaws for Lost.

Wasn't that the Sawyercentric one where Sawyer was hunting the pig, and shot the hot dog vendor, or something like that.
