Drinks and Cups!

So random I know but as I was putting away my thousands of different mugs, I thought, I wondered....

What is your favourite drinking vessel for your everyday drinks?
What is your everyday drink and has it always been so?

For me... water and coffee, coffee and more coffee. From Nescafe Gold Blend Instant to Caramel Latte's. Although it never used to be like this. I used to be a tea drinker... PG Tips only and the pyramids when they were released. I have had various favourite mugs over the years and most of them are quite big mugs. At the moment I have a little owl mug and this beast...

Don't have any fancy pictures to share, but I have three favorites.

1) A white cup that I decorated myself many years ago, gave it a black handle, drew red stars on it and wrote the name of my favorite celeb crush on it 😀
2) A Spice Girls cup with all the girls on it, I don't know why, but I just cannot make myself get rid of it, I love that one!
3) My newest and favorite is my Jack Skellington, which is shaped like his head and can hold about twice of a normal cup.

I drink almost exclusively fruit juice mixed with ginger ale now days (trying to kick my Dr Pepper addiction) in a large stainless steel thermos to keep it cold.

I love this water from Whole Foods. There's just something different about it. Can't quite put my finger on it.

Water, coffee and Green tea are my daily drinks of choice! Hot beverages I drink out of my Spode Blue Italian cups, I love pretty much all things from their design. I’m getting rid of my other mugs and replacing them all with Blue Italian ones. I don’t like to have many different looking mugs.

But, I do have some novelty mugs I just can’t get rid of. One is with Eeyore and the other two just tickle my funny bone 😁


(It says Freudian sips on the other side. A bit on the nose but it makes me laugh)

Water I have out of pint glasses, cause I drink a lot of it.

One of my favorite is a thermoserv coca cola (with polar bears on it, it's really sweet!) that I bought in Las Vegas (in a coca cola store), I drink whatever cold beverages I put in it in Summer.

I also like ; that I also bought in Las Vegas.

I only drink tea out of twinwall stainless steel mugs at home ...been like it for decades. Not too bothered which one I use ...just has to be twinwall , all steel and a good size . Like my tea hot .

Not too fussed about what tea I buy , just strong blends . These days I buy fancy teabags in big boxes , always a special deal on Asda to be had on brand names .

Coronavirus put a lot of pressure on my bevereges 🙂 . I've lived upcountry for a long time and always bought UHT and powdered milk . For months longlife milk products were rare as rocking horse shit. I had to start ordering fresh , uht , powdered and tinned(which usually didn't arrive) ...and have my mates out looking for UHT/dried in the shops...just to have anything at all 😀 Never any shortage of fresh like , but there's only so much milk you can freeze . If frozen milk was my future , I'd just drink it black.Defrosting milk annoys the life out of me 😀

I used to drink things out of my brother's Doctor Who cup, but it's not dishwasher safe...

I also have a nice Tervis cup that lost it's lid so not drinking from that until I get hold of a spare.

I prefer drinking from glass cups.
