Drunk Willow

I was watching Something Blue last night, and I was just curious... how many beers do you think it took to get Willow in her slurrish state?

I'm wagering she just had the one.

You don't really see the scoobies drink that often on the show. Who do you think is a lightweight and who do you think has the tolerance of a herd of cowboys?

It'd also be fun to make a list of different drinks (cosmos, coronas, jack 'n coke, etc.) and make a list of buffyverse characters and match them up.

Forgive me, I'm bored.

I the beer she spilled was the only one she had, NO WAY she got drunk.

Anya and Spike are probably the ones that can take the most. They've had enough time and practise to inhibit the effects.

They mention in an episode of Angel that Vampires have a pretty high tolerance for alcohol which makes Angel and Spike the two cowboys of the bunch.

As for who is a lightweight, certainly I'd guess Dawn would be. Size-wise, you'd think Buffy would be too but perhaps being the slayer gives her a little extra tolerance for booze as well (how's that for a super power?).

Yeah, i think the only one she had was the one that got spilt...and i wouldn't go as far to say she was drunk....although a drunk Willow would be interesting...think about how she speaks normally...then imagine if she was drunk....Lol!!

Well, she didn't appear drunk that much to me anyway. More like heavily trying to deny her pain. Got slightly dizzy perhaps.

Well, if Life Serial is any point of reference, Buffy can hold her liquor...it looked like she drank about half of Spike's flask and the bottle she took from the bartender. Probably her Slayer toughness gives her super liquor-holding powers.

And I kind of like the idea that Willow only drank, like, half of a beer. It's such a Willow thing to do...drink a little bit and start acting really drunk just because you want to.

It not too far of a stretch, though, for her drunk-ishness to be the real deal. When I had half a glass of wine, I'm noticeably dipsy already... and I guess Willow would drink as seldomly as I do, and she's LOADS smaller than me, physically.

Totally. No way Willow had ever drank before this, and she probably felt the slightest sensation coming on and subconsciously though "this must be what drunk feels like, I better act appropriately". The drunker she allowed herself to think she was, the easier it was to diffuse the pain.

OK, so if we're going to get Willow drunk, I say we get her stoned too. Do you think she ever smoked? I mean... Tara just seems the type.

I'm sure she did, but probably in a wholesome, spiritual, commune-with-the-Earth sort of way more akin to meditation than was Buffy's beerfest in, say, Beer Bad.

I would also like to think that Willow had one drink and then just let herself act drunk. My mother-in-law, who is extremely tiny (even smaller than Willow), does that. It's hilarious. It also seems like a very goody-two-shoes, repressed sort of move that would occur naturally in a person like Willow. She'd get a little thrill from breaking the rules and then go all out.
