DVD Questions, Again

Hey

Just wondering, is there any difference between the R1 and R2 DVDs? I know R1 is cheaper, and comes in a fold out style, while R2 comes in a storybook style. However I'm thinking of getting S1 for my bday, and they both come in a cross style dont they?

So any other differences?
 
I think in R2 they have easter eggs or whatever they are called that have special features hidden on the DVD, while R1(USA i think) does not have that. And I wonder why they come differently, Smallville comes in storybooks style in the US.
 
i have a DVD question also, for the angels season 2 DVD do the discs fall out for your guys' too? whenever i open the case the discs fall out
 
R1 disc can only be watched on R1 player, R2 only on R2 player and R3 only on R3 players. In America you can buy R1, in Europe and Japan (and Australia) R2, in the rest of Asia R3.

yeah that happens to mine to sometimes, if it has fallen or anything the little things you put the dvd on brakes off and sometimes the DVD is just loose.
 
it happened with season 1 and season 2 DVDs, how odd it doesnt happen to my buffy ones
 
My AtS S2 DVD doesn't have the discs falling out at all. You can't even spin the discs around whenb they're on the DVD Boxset.

The Priomal Slayer, I heard that the BtVS S6 DVD has hidden eggs in R2, but I don't no if that's true for R1...
 
My Buffy season 4 disks are always falling out especially the first two disks.
 
I got a multi-region DVD player so regions are no worry for me.

Anyway, my Buffy S3 R1 DVDs dont do that, and my Angel S2 is R2 and storybook so that isn't likely to happen unless I hold it upside down.
 
What's fold-out and storybook? Sorry, kind of a DVD-n00b here, own only one, and I have never used a player myself, and have only seen three movies on DVD.

Sucker for VHS here!
 
The fold-out is where you have three discs on one side and three discs on the other and you fold both sides inward towards each other ot fold it up nicely. I haven't seen the storybook style as I'm in the US.
 
Fold out is kinda like a small box that folds in two halves, 3 DVDs on each half.

The storybook looks like a book, the first few pages contain episode descriptions, and then six pages with the discs in. They're cool, but im afraid to open it too much because it will ruin the bookiness!

Whoa, that storybook format's pretty cool. The fold-out's alright, but occassionally, I get a loose disc or something.
 
Yea the storybook looks cool. I have a question about the American season 5 dvd. Does anyone know where the outtakes are? I can't find them🙁
 
It's on Disc Three. Select 'Special Features' on the main menu and then select 'Outtakes.'

I'd like to have a storybook-style DVD boxset for a change... it looks really great!
