Is there any difference between the R2 and R1 DVDs for Buffy, as in quality or content. Because oddly I can get the R1 DVDs for cheaper than the R2 ones. I have a mutli region hacked DVD (aint tested but done the procedure so heres hoping!) and I wanted to know if theres any difference.

Thanks.

I dont think there's any difference. But whatever you can get cheaper! Buy it!
Region One's are across sea's, while if you went to a shop in the UK, the DVD you bought would be region two!

Theres an example of the diifference in price.

I dunno whether to get S3 which Ive seen and like or S6 which Ive only seen 4 eps and like the looks of. Of course if I get S6 I need the R2 DVD.

Angel - season 2, R2 is in widescreen.
BTVS - season 4 through 6 (so far), R2 are in widescreen.

ALL of the B/A DVD's, R1 are in full screen. If you wanna get the U.K. DVD's, well, they cost twice as much as the U.S. ones.

Yeah its absurd (spelling?) that the UK ones are so much. Although I've seen S6 for £45ish I think so I may go for that.

Another thing, I was looking and found Aussie DVDs for cheap but it classes S6 as coming in two sets of 3 DVDs. Is that official and something that only happens in Aussie? Also oddly, they charge AUS$36.95 for each half of the DVD set and AUS$134.95 for the whole set.

Hmm just seen that it says its a pre-order and out on 22nd Oct, oh well, still question remains

If you go to Ebay, you'll notice that there's a big difference in price between R1 and R2 DVD's. The R1 one's are loads cheaper over here than R2 becuase not everyone can play multiregion, so there's generally more bids on R2.
