DVD regions & Computers

So here's the deal. I have a laptop. My laptop is from the dvd region 2 area (Europe). I like to watch movies from other countries outside of Europe (eg region 1). My laptop didn't use to mind me watching region 1 or 4 dvds, but now all of a sudden it wants me to stick to one region. So what am I supposed to do? Are there any downloadable programs that'll let me play all region dvds, or is there something I can do to the computer so it won't mind me playing all region dvds?

It only lets you switch so many times before locking to one region. It happened to me on my old laptop and found some programs that said they did it but when I tried it never worked.

Weird. I had no idea that happened. Good to know though. But really what a tease that is, thinking that you've got the freedom to watch what you want. Hope you find a solution!

I had also heard that you could only change the region so many times before you had to stick with one.

Ah that's just beeped up. I guess I'll have to go and buy myself a non region dvdplayer instead then if I want to be able to watch all movies. Damnit!

I know, all this region 1 and 2 business sucks ass. Why can't they all be the same, huh? It would save alot of agro, lol.
