Buffy seasons 1-7 (I have 2 box sets of them- same kind, I just wanted a newer copy that has less scratches and also wanted season 7 to not be slim-line).

I would say Xena, Veronica Mars, and Game of Thrones are my favorites apart from Joss stuff.

To be fair I watch most of my stuff online, so most series I'm not interested in buying, plus I'll usually watch something once and then not really have an interest in doing re-runs. The only series I would actually own are series for which I'll watch regularly re-runs.

As noted I've missed a few seasons here and there so I guess that's what I want.

Hard to decide what to recommend... but I would say:
Friends - If anyone hasn't seen it already. Best sitcom ever. Especially season 1 - 5.
Babylon 5 - Best sci-fi ever. With a great overall arc for all the 5 seasons.
The West Wing - Just very good, quality TV.

If you want multiple episode storylines that suck you in and end with cliffhangers that make you desperate to watch the next one:

Breaking Bad and
Dexter

For fantasy with a dark but silly sense of humour British Being Human (I'm NOT NOT recommending the US remake I just haven't seen it yet to give an opinion), if you enjoy that and think you'd enjoy something funnier but crasser then move on to Misfits.

Don't watch BB, D or MF if you're of a sensitive nature though. BH can be quite gruesome and sordid too actually...

American Being Human isn't bad. The actors are great, it's just part of the story that sometimes is a bit less.... good. But great view about the guys (I mean Sam Witwer... HELLO hottie! and Sam Huntingdon too!)

I want all the next seasons of shows like SPN, TWD, Breaking Bad and Dexter, etc. And I would like to get Grimm and Gilmore Girls since I haven't seen them before and would like to try watching them.

As for what I would recommend...hmmmm, probably Breaking Bad and Supernatural. But, it depends on what you are into, and the reason I have all these dvd's is because I like all of those shows, so I would probably recommend all of them I guess 🙂

I like all these shows!
How typical of me to come back and first post here. Oh well, lets get it done. But starting with the recommendations.

The west wing - I'll probably tell/bug people about it until I die. Brilliant in many ways even if it has some downs along the way. At it's best the best I've ever watched. Simple as that.
Sherlock - Modern day Sherlock Holmes made awesome. Yes please. Before I was more a fan of the idea of Sherlock Holmes than anything being done. Be it books, movies or tv.
Psych - Wasn't overly fond of the newest season (7) but overall highly recommended. Goofy absolutely but to me the right kind.

Order the complete series of Queer As Folk. You will be surprised & fall in love...it's one of the best shows I've ever seen. Buffy & QAF are my top owns.
