Earlier ships or later ships

I realized something.

People who ships Bangel ships earlier season ships like;
Willoz,Xandelia, Sprusilla

Other hand people who ship Spuffy ships later season ships like;

Tillow,Xanya,Cangel

Which team are you? Earlier or later?or both?

I don’t think this follows necessarily. I am Spuffy but prefer Bangel over Cangel. I also slightly prefer Woz over Tillow.

Yeah I agree with AstridDante.. it means nothing at all. I prefer Bangel to Spuffy, Tillow to Woz, Xander/Anya to Xander/Cordelia and I have nothing against Cangel

I definitely prefer later season ships, but not all of them.

Personally, I just think the characters developed more to a point where their relationships made more sense and were allowed to flourish more. Cander for example is so cliche, but Xanya felt fresher and was more reflective of Xander as a person.

Neither.

Bangel, Dangel(us), Fresley, Weslah and Sprusilla are roughly the 'ships that dominate which fanvids, for example, I'm likely to search for. I'm probably one of biggest fans of Darla (and Connor!) around here. Wesley is my second-favorite character after Angel, so that definitely applies.

Early seasons BtVS, but then my fandom home base largely switches to AtS (with the massive exception of Cangel).

Fun fact: I used to 'ship Spuffy when I watched the last seasons first and the first seasons last in reruns. It was the fandom that made me a permanent Bangel and I gradually lost interest in BtVS' later seasons.

I do, however, prefer Xanya (for all Xander's faults, he was at least better in the later seasons) over Cander (Cordy's relationships generally leave me cold in their utter lack of chemistry, though the short-lived Coyle worked best), but I prefer Willoz over Tillow (I do like Tara--more than Willow in the later seasons, for sure--but Willow becomes a terrible person in that era and in that relationship).

Hmm, I agree that this doesn't nessesarly follow, but it's a good theory. I guess if I had to choose, I'd choose the later ships overall, though I love Oz/Willow.

But honestly Spuffy is the only ship I really care about at this point, so perhaps I'm not the best example tp help prove this theory.

I'm not really a big shipper. But I think Woz relationship was wholesome and Xandelia was fun to watch.
On the other hand, even though I'm not actually shipping them, I prefer Spuffy over Bangel as a relationship dynamic.

I think if I were a shipper I would say I prefer "Tillow," "Cander," and "Genny" but I don't have any preference for Bangel or Spuffy. I am still, 25 years later, unconvinced that Bangel is this epic love. And I don't really see Spuffy as a relationship. More like a fling. So I don't think I follow any of these categories.
