Edgy Comic George Carlin Dies At 71.

Anyone who is grieving George Carlin didn't understand his act. Anyone who regarded his death with anything more than "Oh. Balls." and remembered his legacy fondly didn't understand his act. George Carlin didn't care about death. It's not sad that he's dead, it's just bad that he can't perform any more. For a 71 year old to die of natural causes is completely untragic.

no offense JCC but it is sad that the world lost such a talented entertainer....even if his act was something that morally made you cringe you still couldnt help but laugh at the jokes he told in regards to human nature...the uncanny ability he had to make the truth so darn funny. Yes, he obviously lived a full life dying at 71 and the "natural causes" thing means he probally wasn't in any pain so I get what you are saying about the tragic part...but for those that found his comedy entertaining...its not fair to say that they cant be sad that he is gone and will not entertain us with any new material. People were sad that Rodney Dangerfield died whats the difference?

I'm sad that he won't come up with any new jokes.

Doesn't change the fact that his death itself doesn't bother me at all. Had to happen at some point.
