Eliza as 'Faith'

we can talk about eliza's portrayal of Faith from BtVS and Angel here....i think that eliza did an amazing job portraying her....and mean, it's awesome! 🙂
 
she did an awsome job kicking angelus' ass and she is pretty hot, she was awsome in season 2 of buffy
 
"Faith is the other Slayer, called after Kendra was killed by Drusilla. She, like many characters, is a bit of a mystery. What we do know is that she is one troubled girl. Her Watcher (a woman) was killed by a vampire named Kakistos, and Faith witnessed it "” then ran away, bringing her plenty of guilt. She's from Boston, and her mother is apparently dead (and was an alcoholic when she was alive). Faith enjoys slaying more than Buffy does (it makes her "hungry and horny"), and she is quite sure that being a Slayer makes her better than everybody else, as well as immune to laws and rules. After Faith accidentally killed the Deputy Mayor, she went to the Mayor himself, offering her services, and they developed a close (if somewhat odd) relationship. She was then officially a rogue Slayer. When Angel pretended to have been turned back into Angelus, Faith was eager to team up with him and torture Buffy, and her jealousy of Buffy became painfully obvious. Later, Faith shot Angel with a poison arrow, for which the cure turned out to be the blood of a Slayer. Buffy intended to feed Faith to Angel, but ended up putting her in a coma instead. Faith remained in a coma until February, 2000 "” when she woke up and went seeking revenge against Buffy. Her method of choice was to switch bodies with Buffy via a gift left to her by the deceased Mayor. The experience was difficult for Faith, as she seemed to realize how unhappy she was with herself. She headed to Los Angeles and was hired by Wolfram and Heart to kill Angel, but instead she tried to get Angel to kill her. He wouldn't, and took her under his care until she turned herself in to the Police Department (she was wanted for crimes presumably including assault and murder). She is currently incarcerated in an LA prison."

Please keep in mind that not everyone has seen those episodes of Angel since it has not yet aired in the UK and other parts. If neccessary use spoilers.


Faith is one of my favourite characters, I say one of because from all the years its been hard to actually pick just one. Damm near impossible I say.

She is full of attitude, a dark contrast to Buffy and what its like being a slayer. From the wrong side of the tracks with no 'scooby gang' or family to help her out she was left out on her own.

I particularly liked the scenes she had with The Mayor, sort of a surrogate father figure for her. It was rather touching to see the two of them, both bad to the bone and caring for each other.
 
well after reading some spoilers she still doesnt like buffy when she returns
 
yeah according to the spoilers for S7 of Buffy....they'll collide but hey that's life........Faith is such a great character in general it definetly gives a contrast to Buffy which simply made the series better.....and S3 one of the best
 
I think Faith was a really good character for BtVS. And her recent appearance on Angel rocked. Too bad they didn't have a spinoff of Faith's character. You know, another Slayer kicking vampire butt. Oh well, I hope Eliza's new show rocks!
 
and if it doesn't.......hey maybe....Faith Vampire Slayer might become a possibilty again
 
I looooooved Eliza as Faith. I'm sometimes more partial to the darker characters, so the character of Faith was perfect for my favorite show. She brought edge to the show and was absolutely brilliant. I wish I could see her on Buffy now (s7), but unfortunately, I am missing the end.🙁
 
Even with Tru Calling, I hope Eliza makes guest spots on Angel from time to time. She was one of my favorite characters, but all in all I liked Buffy more. Most of the time. Sometimes . . . Well, I'll just leave it at that.
 
I agree - Faith was one of the strongest characters in the series. There's so much more to do with her character. It would be a shame if they didn't at least do some guest spots. - My real hope was the spinoff, but with Tru Calling, I don't see that happeneing. I'm just happy she's in a series at all.
 
I still think there's a good chance for a Faith spinoff.

Been burned far too many times by Fox to think that any show is anywhere guaranteed, and if TC fails, I think we might see Eliza go back to do something that does work.
 
Yeah, I know it's horrible to say, but it would be great if this show failed, that there would be a mid season Faith spinoff pickup - that would rock my world.
