Eliza Dushku has been cast for a new movie

According to Acorn-online Eliza has apparently been cast in Theo
Avgerinos Zoe, along with James Van Der Beek. The movie is still
being cast and will shoot in Montreal.

The story takes place in a small New England town, where two brothers
are trying to revive a Greek family restaurant. Both brothers are in
love with the same girl, who works in the restaurant.

This is the one they've been talking about lately.

Macaulay Culkin and Eliza Dushku have signed on for leads in the dark comedy "Sex and Breakfast."

Alexis Dziena ("Invasion") and Kuno Becker ("Goal!") co-star in the film, now shooting.

Written and directed by Miles Brandman, the project apparently focuses on a couple who go to a relationship therapist with intimacy problems. The recommendation? Group sex.

"I read a lot of material and loved this script," Culkin tells Variety. "It's really about the pressure that leads them to experiment, the anticipation leading up to the event and then the fallout."

Although he's been known to do voices for "Robot Chicken," Culkin has mostly been absent from both the big and small screen since "Saved!" and "Party Monster." It was nearly 15 years ago that he was the richest child star in the land, with lead roles in films like "The Nutcracker," "Getting Even with Dad" and "The Pagemaster."

Best known for her performance as rogue slayer Faith in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Angel," Dushku most recently starred in the FOX series "Tru Calling." Other credits for the 25-year-old actress include "Bring It On" and "Wrong Turn."

OK, after much searching I finally found a link to the story.

The original story appears to have been deleted from the source's archives, but Whedonesque.com did link to the story at one time here.

Personally I don't think there's enough corroboration at this point to accept this story as fact, but apparently others do, so...whatever...

The news on the Dushku/Macaulkin movie looks pretty kosher though.

How about if the current Edition of the Buffy and Angel mag has 'confirmed' it.

I can't remember exact quote as i didn't buy it, but they were pretty sure this was a 'go'.

Actually, if you check out the Whedoninfo.com page it's just referencing the acorn-online story. Also there's something I'm wondering about with Whedoninfo.com. Is that the old Buffy.nu? Because that site was famous for not checking stuff out, and publishing false stories.

There are places that are in my personal bad books for publishing recent false stuff. They are IMDB.com, Buffy magazine, and Wikipedia.

The acorn-online story appears to have disappeared from their archives. Why is that, I wonder.

I've just finished co-composing the score for NOBEL SON with producer and re-mix artist Paul Oakenfold. The result of our collaboration is an edgy track combining techno/electronica grooves and agitato strings. Alan Rickman plays researcher Eli, who wins the Nobel Prize in Chemistry. His trip to Stockholm with wife Sarah (Mary Steenburgen) is cut short when his son Barkley (Bryan Greenburg) is kidnapped and held for ransom by Thaddeus (Shawn Hatosy). Thaddeus reveals himself to be Eli's illegitimate son, who now wants to displace Barkley as Eli's "genuine" son. The two brothers start a fight that involves not only money but also Barkley's girlfriend, City Hall (Eliza Dushku). Danny Devito plays an eccentric neighbor and Bill Pullman is the detective trying to get to the bottom of it all. This is my fourth collaboration with director Randall Miller, who co-wrote the script with his wife Jody Savin. Watch for a theatrical release this fall.
