Eliza Training For Season 4 Banshee

I always loved the way that ED just brought her all to the fight scenes in Buffy and Dollhouse (some of the Dollhouse fights were EPIC) and she clearly loves doing the physical stuff- ever a tomboy! 🙂

Finished Banshee S1- it was...interesting. Pretty darn violent (very OTT in some ways) but there was enough decent characterisation there for me to consider watching S2.

I had never known that "Banshee's" fight choreographers had worked on the other shows before reading that. It's good that Eliza will be working with people who she knows, and know her. "Banshee" has some of the best choreographed and believable fight scenes on TV, and I'm sure that she'll fit right in.

Season 2 gets even more intense. Job and Sugar play off of each other beautifully, and a little more is revealed about Hood's mysterious past, and his connection with Rabbit and Anna.

If you haven't checked it out yet, the official website

http://www.welcometobanshee.com/index.html

has a series of short scenes, ( "Origins,") not appearing in the series, that give background on some of the characters. Just be aware that some of them are spoilers for Seasons 2 & 3, so they won't make a whole lot of sense to you as yet, and might contain spoilers.

Eliza on Twitter refers to "getting ready for bare butt scene" on Season 4 "Banshee," so I guess she's changed her mind about the no nudity thing. First "The Alphabet Killer," and now this.

Makes me curious as to what made her change her mind about it.

Sweeping generalization time: 😉

Sometimes actresses (and some actors) get more comfortable showing their body in nude/sex scenes because as they get older and grow into themselves more. Also they feel that early on they want to 'prove' themselves as actors by not showing any skin.

I understand that, Hollywood has a distinct mindset culture that is wired a certain way. Old, white, male producers (often sexist, often homophobic, etc) have weird ways of viewing the business- if an actress does a certain thing then she is absolutely always typecast that was and will be sent certain scripts.

It may or may not be the case that as Eliza's gotten older her attitude has relaxed not that she's 'made it', some actresses just get so desperate for a gig that they'll relax what they won't do/show.

Banshee's that sort of show where almost every major character (and certainly every female one) ends up naked at one point, so this isn't exactly a surprise. (Game of Thrones and True Detective were the same)
I've just finished s2 and its not bad actually, very pulp, action-packed, utterly unbelievable in places (especially when you consider that the events depicted take place over months and not years- Banshee would be national news) but with some compelling characters.

So now we have a better chance of seeming Eliza naked than of seeing god/lord/spirt/whatever ?

Just shows that times have changed 😛

Eliza doesn't seem to me like the 'desperate for a gig' type of actress, but who knows.

Season 3 is darker than the preceding Seasons, and considerably more violent, but the nudity is toned down quite a bit. Toward the end, there are a couple of flashbacks hinting about Hood's training (remember, Fat Al called him "Soldier Boy") and how he and Job first met.

The producer of the series has said that he thinks that they are "closer to the end than the beginning," which might mean that he plans to end it after Season 5, though, from what I understand, it's one of Cinemax's most popular shows, so maybe (hopefully) he'll change his mind.

Eliza's character in Season 4 is described as "reckless and impetuous," which, along with the martial arts training she's doing for the roll makes me think that we might be seeing something like "Faith, The F B I Agent."

Well, she's comfortable about being nude, I think she's just against full frontal. Ass, that's fine, side boob, that's fine, full frontal, hell no. lol. In the movie Nobel Son, you seen a close up of her butt in a thong, which is basically a nude butt. Also in Locked In, she has a fully naked sex scene but you can't see anything really.

All these naked Eliza movies, and I haven't seen a single one! I gotta start searching the DVD rack at Walmart more carefully!

The Alphabet Killer and Nobel Son used to be on Netflix like 3 years ago. But you can find those scenes on YouTube. And Locked In is currently on the American Netflix.

My family has watched Banshee a few times, it's kind of interesting, I may have to check it out.
She was fantastic in Tru Calling, it's just a shame that series was a flop(I actually have to finish watching that, I wonder if it still comes on Chiller).
