Wow, I didn't know Eliza was involved in this. I studied International Relations in college and focused on post conflict reconstruction; I took a semester off and worked at a rehabilitation center in Gulu, Uganda working with former child soldiers. Gulu is an amazing place and I loved getting to spend so much time there working with children.

From personal experience I can tell you that there is a real need for more rehabilitation, reintegration and schools for Northern Ugandan children.

It's nice to see that after 20 plus years of brutal civil war a spotlight is finally being shined on this.

On a fun note...basketball (wheelchair basketball too) was taken pretty seriously their 🙂
and you can bet they got a kick out of playing with me (a 5'9'" pale white girl 😀) Here is one of the many pictures I took while there.
