Eliza's Embarrassing Moment On Buffy.

Here are some quotes from JM about kissing SMG, seeing her like a little sister, the Method actor thing, talking about DB putting his head through a 2x4 and his car accident, etc... To further back up that I wasn't speaking out of my rear.

Also... Another instance I can think of besides 1x07 and 2x13 where DB and SMG's kissing is definitely not Hollywood style... There's a very visible spit trail at the end of IOHEFY.

BTW since Eliza was underage, I assume they had to get her parents' permission for her to make out with older guys, plus that scene in 'The Zeppo' surely must have taken a lot of convincing...

Actually Eliza got emancipated by the courts at 17 so she could work 'Buffy hours'- really late away from her parents and stuff.
There's a great story (you can find it on online) where she was worried that the Boston courts weren't going to allow it to happen- it all depended on the judge you got apparently and what they thought about the circumstances- and so she was really nervous because her brand new job was on the line.
So they lay everything out for this seemingly hard-nosed female judge who thinks about it for a moment and then invites Eliza to come up and speak to her and asks 'working on the Buffy the Vampire Slayer?' Eliza said yep and so she got emancipated. 🙂

So that's why she could get away with all the kissing I guess. Plus all that other bad role-model stuff- stealing, murder, jumping up and down on the bed with her shoes on...

Well, SMG said that she and DB used to do all sorts of horrible things to throw each other off when it came to kissing in those first few seasons- eating powerful foods and such- all in good fun I'm sure.

Lol, I always laugh when I think of that because well, I just think it's funny I guess, having to act all passionate meanwhile basically trying to make the other person gag.

I read somewhere that Marsters methods the way ED does and that maybe SMG didn't care for it- she said that DB was the better kisser. That's what I was referring to with the 'some people prefer the method and some don't'. 🙂

I read something similar about the actors on Veronica Mars. That Kristen Bell doesn't method, and the guy who played her off-and-on boyfriend Logan did, and that this was sometimes a bit of a strain for them on set. Not saying that they didn't like each other, I don't think that was implied, more that it's about different strokes for different folks about how you want to work. I imagine that for someone who doesn't method, or doesn't like it, it can be quite annyoing, even if you respect your co-star for the job they're doing.

I know that it looks more real than in the old days of Hollywood but I thought that normally they aren't actually doing it?

Lol, reminds me of the end scene of one of my favorite movies - Breakfast at Tiffany's - and one of the least convincing onscreen kisses ever. Definitely think I prefer some method to the madness 😉

It was refered to for years as *Buffy the weekend killer*. Poor crew. I still think my fave prank they did on each other was in Amends when SMG sowed the button holes on her pyjama top together so DB had to work extremely hard to get them undone in the dream sex scene.
