well ABC 1 shows repeats of ellen and iv been really getting into them as well, i just feel its shocking how the show got canceld after she anounced she was gay, well afew episodes after. does anyone else like it ? her ?
oh how things have changed,.... now we have the l word and willow and tara and xena and gabrille.... 🙂
 
Well that is a pretty old show, ofcourse it shouldnt have been cancelled after Ellen came out. But even though the show was popular, it didnt get treated that well by the network, always showing episodes out of order, the season1 cast just suddenly dissapearing.
 
Well, it's not the best show every in my opinion, but I used to love it when I was a kid (hey it was the first TV show with a lesbian character I ever saw).

And I think Ellen is hilarious, really do. We watched Finding Nemo yesterday (for the 10th or something time) and she's the reason to love that film.. I can just see her faces in that blue fish Dory (um sounds weird but yea). Ellen is awesome, eheh.. 😉
 
I heart Ellen so much. I loved the show as a kid (because, as Epo mentioned, it was the first show with a lesbian, at least as far as I knew) and it's actually really funny.

They're airing her new talk show on swedish television now and it's so funny, I'm laughing from begining to end.

But yeah, of course it was sad and all that the show got cancelled because she came out.

well i've never watched that TV show so i can't vote but i've heard about the fact that the show was cancelled when Ellen came out.By the way i've watched The Ellen Degeneres Show many times and i love it!
 
i wanna see her talk show..... i can watch clips on me laptop.... 🙁 yeah i can see her face in the charature dory 🙂 ellen is brilliant makes me laugh 😀
oh and her ex ex is cute too 🙂 she stared in afew episodes ( one was on today) and she was john cages gf in ally mcbeal. anyone used to wtch that??

Anne Heche is weird. But I liked her character on Ally McBeal (loved Ally, at least the first 3 seasons), and she was ok on Ellen as well (even though we hated her there cause she was Laurie's ex).

You can't compare her to Portia DeRossi though, that woman is hot and awesomely cool, mhm (can't believe she's with Ellen though, hm)..

We're talking about the sitcom, "Ellen", that got cancelled years ago. Not Ellen's talk show 😉
 
i liked that show. it shouldn't have been canceled on the grounds that she was gay(if tha's what happened 😉) but it prob would have been canceled by now anyways since it is like 10 years since it started.. or something like that 🙂

but it was pretty funny!
 
i was stoped at the time coz of the gayness, but now its more axepted to be gay so shesgot her own tv show, ( well look at the l word) how popular us that 🙂
 
Did she not get another season of Ellen, where she moved back home with her mom and worked in a school, or was this part of the season before it was canceled?
 
erm i didnt know about that moving home ect.... but i lked her realationship with lorrey, ha and her REAL GF was playing her gf exs.
but dude shes going out with her now ? Portia DeRossi wow i had like total hots for her when i used to watch ally, humm maybe i do have gaydar lol 😀

Yeah cuz I remember seeing the show years ago, and it had that women who was in Desperate Housewives, Lynett's(Sp?) boss, and the big guy from Malcolm in the middle, But then I saw a new series of Ellen, where she was living with her mom and her sister, working in a school. and you could tell it wasn't made at the same time as the other eps, becasue the picture quality was better, think old series - Friends season 1, New series - Friends season 6
 
yep i knew it was her !!!!!!! i thought it was paige.... lynettes boss owtch shes gettin older....... 🙁 and yep the guy in the store who likes there mam hes called joe , ( owned his own coffee shop in ellen) " cup of joe"
never seen anything like her moving home ect... maybe a one off episode ?? im watching re runs on ABC 1 at mo. really wanna c her talk show 🙁
 
OK, BEG, just to clear something up for you.
The Show you are refering to is 'The Ellen Show', which is completely different from 'Ellen'
One is Ellen Richmond, the other is Ellen Morgan. Interestingly, the one where she is a teacher, she is straight.....principles went out of the window i see!!
This one only last 1 season.

Now please do not get either of these confused with 'Ellen:The Ellen Degeneres show' a chat show with her as host.

You haveto give her crediut for being imaginative.....

Ohh and FYI, i voted yes. It has nothing to do with her Lesbian status, i just thought it was time the show ended. I mean it was great but i did find before the Lesbian stuff, the show lost its fire, infact it was lucky for Ellen that Ellen outed herself, gave her more scope, but i tell you, as soon as the Lemon stuff wore off, it would have started going down hill. Youonly have to look at her follow up show to realise she was lacking decent ideas.
Now don't get me wrong, i think she is one of the funniest stand-ups, i just think her sitcom days should be behind her now.

That's right there are three, oh my, didn't even think of that since I've only seen the "Ellen" show that was originally called "These Friends of Mine"...
 
bloody hell owtch nice ordignal name .......... ellen sounds better.....
im not that keen on early episodes of ellen.... weird seing her " straight" .......
