Oh my gosh. I just had the best time ever at the comicon!!! Wil Wheaton was there, and there was an awesome panel with him and he read aloud a few of his short stories, which are hilarious. I'm telling you, this guy is a pop-cultureish refererency genius 🙂 He's hilarious.
I got George Jeanty (from season 8) to sign a few of my comics and talked to him for a while. He's pretty chill. And a few other people from Dark Horse signed a S8 promo poster I had. AND I got to meet Jewel Staite and Tahmoh Penikett!!! (I got personalized autographed picturess of both!) They're both really nice. Tahmoh said that he's not sure if Dollhouse has been picked up yet for a second season, but he thinks they'll find out next week! (I had to ask.)
Which means the media should too, and we in turn as well!). He was surprised when I said I thought Dollhouse was brilliant. He said that he knew it had been getting mixed reviews but it had been great working on it so far. He said we should all cross our fingers that the network wants it back next season!!!
Jewel is amazing and pretty and....amazing. I told her that Firefly was my almost all-time favorite show, and I loved her character on it. She was super-uber nice and smiled a lot and signed "Stay Shiny Becky!' on my picture 🙂 Tahmoh, though, looked kinda nervous.
Anywho, it was rad and I got to geek out with fellow geeks for a while all day. Oh, and George said that Twilight will be revealed in the last issue of S8! So stay tuned!!!
