I typed in Emma Caufield on Google and it said

"Emma Caufield hates Sarah Michelle Gellar"

what?!

I suppose hate might be a strong word but I never got the idea that they were particularly close. Hate however implies a certain amount of animosty and I'm sure that they respect each other as co-workers and individuals even if they're not close friends.

That said I agree that google isn't the most reliable of sources and that generally rumors of dislike between actors/celebs are fairly common and often seems greatly overexaggerated even if they may contain a hint of truth.

Also, it's not like you have to be friends with all your co-workers.

Ive read over the years that Emma, Sarah and Charisma didnt get on with each other. And wasnt it in the extras for one of the seasons that Sarah and James Marsters didnt really talk to each other on set?

Really? Oh hell...
I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't get along; most people are bound to come across someone they don't like at some point in there professional lives.

As long as they were able to get the job done, their personal opinions of one another aren't really important.

I think that Sarah, Charisma and Alyson were all three pretty close friends, especially Sarah and Alyson.
But I think that I also read that the others were quite mad at Sarah, because the show ended because of her or something like that.
However, a lot of the stuff that people write on the internet is crap, so I wouldn't believe everything. Still, I haven't seen a single picture with Alyson and Sarah after 2003.

I don't know about Emma. I could imagine she was also kind of mad. And that's when people google "Emma Caulfield hates Sarah Michelle Gellar" and stuff like that.

I've heard a lot of things about SMG. I've heard that her and Alyson are great friends, I've heard they aren't. Especially because Alyson wasn't present at SMG's baby shower, and Michelle was.

I wouldn't listen to idle gossip. It really doesn't matter to me whether they all like each other or not. They did an awesome job working together and that's what counts to me. 🙂

Oh dear. You destroyed my "happy on stage" view of BTVS. 😀 Just kidding. I think it would be sad if they don't get along with each other but I guess that if you work for years with several persons, conflicts are usual. Solutions too. I just heard that the others had a conflict because SMG left the show. Especially Allyson and Sahra had a huge dispute because of that.

I couldn't agree more - both about the gossip and the work ethics.

From all the behind-the-scenes videos I've seen on youtube for Buffy and Angel, I never got the impression that the cast of BTVS was particularly close. From what I've seen the cast of Angel got along spectacularly though.

yeah, DB, J august and Lindsey were very close

I don't know how close they were/are, but I don't think she was mad at SMG for ending the show because she was planning on leaving it anyway. Which is why she gave them permission to kill off Anya even when they hadn't known S7 would be the last season.

ITA with this.... especially the last part. While we would all love to assume that the entire cast got along and everything was sunshine and rainbows, I'm sure that was not always the case.

This is probably based on the fact that an interviewer (I think it was Howard Stern) asked Emma what she thought of SMG and she replied "no comment" or something like that.
