I thought that, due to documentaries and hearing it straight form the star cast's mouths, that the Emmys refused to nominate buffy for an emmy as they were old-fashioned, in my opinion - FOOLS! Lol, as im sure you will all agree.
However, in sky buy intereactive service shop with buffy items, it saysa it was an emmy-winning show!? ???
HELP - I NEED THE TRUTH! Lol.

Thought that might be it, but am i right the people there are so old-fashioned they refuse to nominate buffy for anything more even though its one of the biggest shows in the world?!

Buffy's won some technical awards in the past, but that's about it. Never any big things. Everyone was hoping "The Body" would be nominated last year, even a lot of critics thought it would be, but it wasn't. Generally, genre shows such as Buffy don't get nominated. Such a shame too.
 
Yes, as i, probably like you, belive buffy to one of the smartest, most entertaining shows ever on television. It has a massive fan base, probably one of the largest in the world, and has audiences of all ages, including critics, so its soooo unfair. I belive its more important that the fans enjoy and appreciate, but it would be nice for buffy to get the recognition it deserves!

Good point. Here's hoping that new people come in soon, before buffy ends!
Does anyone know what awards buffy has won?
In a documentary i saw, the cast were all saying how unfair it was, especially emma caulfield. Joss, although he would say the fans enjoyment is the primary aim, mus be disappointed that a show he created and put so much work into, and which has one of the biggest woirld-wide fan base, is not nominated for these awards due to an old-fashioned pannel!
 
i think if they're going to get an award it should definatly be for "the body," it is the best shot episode there has ever been on buffy, it was so dramatic and tense, and the effect of the lack of music was incredible
 
*I* think if they're goin to get an Emmy it should be for "Hush" which still remains one of my TOP episodes. that and "Once more with feeling" which was creativity beyond anything I've seen.
 
I completely agree with the "Once More With Feeling" comment - its my fav eppy ever!
I read that it has been nominated properly once, and that was for "Hush" - as far as i know, but i only heard from someone that they got nominated. Anyway, that was a while ago.
"The Body" was the saddest epyy ever - fabulously emotional, great writing and directing; acting too, of course!
They should just get on with giving buffy the recognition is deserves!

Which ones has she got that are really major? Nothing form the damn emmys, im guessing! Lol.

SMG is an amazing actress and seems such a sweetie in real life!!!

Yes SMG got an Emmy for her role on All My Children when she was younger.

"Hush" was nominated but it didn't win.

Grouded, i know your current opinion but as you know, i disagree. Even if you dont think its deserves now, you must have thought buffy fab at one point or you wouldnt be on here, so you must think it, in the past, has deserved emmys, no?
I even think now, it still is more than deserving, although season 6 hasnt been the best ever, but great nevertheless!!!
