It's really weird, when the first word was put out of Angel ending, I was like completly shocked, didn't know what was what anymore. Then came anger, angry at the WB, the Nielsen system, and particullary at Jordan Levin. But it drifted of, it made place for sadness, followed by enthousiasm to save the series, but lately I could only think about the fact, that I'm sort of relieved. Finally, I can start up a life of my own instead of just watching the made-up lives of made-up people.

But when I think about the future, I feel nothing but emptiness. It's like I'm drifting toward a big void. Like there won't be another day after the final episode. Life loses all meaning. Nothing seems real anymore.

So my question to you is this; do you feel that emptiness coming?

I've always felt it coming..With Buffy and Angel or without it..For now I try to think bout school and how to get out of Poland.I guess it'll really hit me after the final ep of Angel.

But I uderstand..

Yes I know what you mean. We had Angel so the hurt from Buffy ending wasn't terrible. But now with Angel being gone...what are we gonna watch on those dark lonely nights? Of course we'll have our DVDs and re-runs, but it really isn't the same. I really don't know what is going to fill that emptiness.
I really felt it today after I read an interview with David about the ending of the series. I had a hope when I heard talks about season 6, but his attitude towards the whole thing took all of that hope away. Of course there is the money matter. If they agree to pay him enough, I'm sure that he'll agree to do another season. But he didn't seem too interested in it. It seemed like he wanted closure, which really frightens me. The emptiness is really hard to deal with, but hopefully I'll live through the cancellation.

The emptiness is starting to kill me now. I am thinking about what I am going to do Wednesday nights when I am home. I will no longer have my weekly Angel chats with my friends. Yeah, we are going to have DVDs, Magazines, Fan sites, Boards, Fan Art, and reruns but it isn't going to be the same. After Angel ends the period of good TV will end. The only great show (if it doesn't get cancelled) will be Wonderfalls. The only problem is that it isn't part of Buffyverse. The only thing that will be keeping the world alive will be us. I really want only people to carry the moments forever. We have to share this grand world to our children but the emptiness will never be filled. 🙁

Maybe we are all just obsessive people with no lives if we feel this way, but yea, I know what you mean...what will I do without Angel? Don't feel bad Magui, I don't know if I will be able to either....I think I may have to go to therapy for depression after it ends....this can't be good...

I know what y'all mean. I felt so empty after Buffy ended. It was like I closed a chapter of my life. And now, with Angel I think it will be the same thing.

I feel exactly the same..when Buffy ended I had nothing to do..I didnt know what to do...but now with Angel ending too...it'll be really empty without the shows

When you get attached to something like a TV show and it charcters it can be like losing a friend. Some people say getting upset is stupid. And maybe it is. But for others its a way of life.

I was in shock when Buffy ended for a few days as Im sure I will be when Angel does. ::crying::

Hey guys

I just wanna say that I LOVE Angel: The Series more than any other TV show, even Buffy. But some of you guys are scarily attached here. There is a whole real world out there. Although chances are the real world isnt as great as TV world it still something you need to get your teeth into.

And for those of you who are lost without good TV. Watch every episode of 'Alias' - it is the most finely written tv series ever up until series 3 which has been ok. I may get killed for saying this but a series which screens at the same time as Angel on Fox 'The OC' is pretty good (Seth Cohen rules). LOOK JUST TIVO IT! 'Malcolm in the Middle' is awesome. As you can see there is nothing in these shows which resembles Angel so I can't help you there. Maybe you'll have to buy Joss's run the X-men comic book and wait for a Firefly movie. I'm certain a Buffy movie will pop up before I'm thirty!

PS Dont watch Charmed unless it turns into 'The Chris Show'. He's the only good character, creating the only good storyline. Damn I liked Black Sash.

Yes, we are scarily attached, but hey I have a life. Why else would I have sprinted around for an hour after my horse in a Hunter in Hand lesson. I have the leg cramps to prove it! I have a life....I mean it...I sware...really...

But I'll just really miss Angel....Angel goes and good television goes with it...watching Angel has been a weekly ritual of mine for years, then it will just be...gone....and I'll have an empty hour in my life...

Yup Allycat...I'm right there with ya...I actually feel a little fear where losing Angel is concerned...I won't know what to do with myself. It's my one hour a week where nothing else really matters and I can get completely involved in something other than what my life is facing and just get...lost. But the kind of lost I feel now just kind of feels...very empty...I feel that void you're talking about...and it's like standing alone at the edge of the world. Dramatic, I know, but it's how I feel sometimes when I think about the impending cancellation...that's when I go find something else to do to help the fight. Beyond that...God only knows...I may be forced to get a life...NOOOOOOO!!!

yeah i understand what you mean about the emptiness. I've watched buffy for son many years & then only started to watch angel this season now that its gone. I feel that once it's gone i waont have ANYTHING to watch anymore
