Enable Push Notifications

I keep getting a banner that says to do this, I click the "enable push Notifications" but nothing happens. And the banner comes up again on the next page. Im happy to enable push notifications.

This is very much likely an issue with my device over the site, what can I do to have these work? Or am I misunderstanding what "push" notifications are? I thought they were a beep or banner when I was offsite? Do I need a specific ap?

What is your device? I have an older Dell Vostro with the newest Windows on it and get frequent notifications from the site via Google Chrome when I’m on my computer.

Mostly Im using my phone, an android Motorola phone and accessing the site via chrome also

I don’t believe they work on mobile.

I never get anything on my phone, aside from email notifications (but that’s a separate thing). Granted, I use Safari, but I don’t see why that would make a huge difference

It's the notifications that you get on your computer even when not on the site (on Windows they pop up in the lower right corner).

They are setup per device, so if you enable it on your desktop, it won't change this on your mobile, for example. And if you log out of the device, you have to re-enable them. I believe iOS and Safari on macOS do not support push notifications.

If you go to your account, then preference, you can enable/disable from there.

I'm a tad worried by Octavia's comment, just as well it did not have a French connection. Else it might be La Push and that sounds like the beach where the surfing was done in the first of the Twilight Saga film.

Surfing ? I don't remember that part myself from when i saw the movie . I do remember the beach party thought .
