Well I LOVE this movie and wanted to talk about it with some of you who may have seen it and enjoyed it also. I thought the story was cute and all the references to the other disney classics was alot of fun. Also the music was great. Amy Adams is such an amazing talent. That voice of hers is spectacular. She also reminds me of Nicole Kidman.

Anyone?
 
This movie is REALLY funny. Anyone whose seen old fairy tale Disney movies will probably enjoy it even if they didn't like them, as this is sort of a satire.

Amy Adams was really good, I agree. I'm not a big Patrick Dempsey fan but he was OK in this. That guy from X-Men who played the idiotic prince was probably the best one in the movie, he was hilarious.
 
Hahaha, ya he really was funny. I loved Amy Adams amazing emotional expression. She was just brilliant. I can't wait to see her tonight in Charlie Wilson's War. And she was also Beth Maclay on Buffy.
 
I've watched this film twice at the pictures now. I thought it was great. I started to feel bad for James Marsden, all the characters he's played don't ever seem to get the girl lol

I liked how it went from the cartoon world to the real world. It was definitely very Snow White to start with. The chipmunk was hilarious!!

I love these types of film 🙂
 
I thought this was a cute movie. It really made you feel good. And I liked how she kept cutting up the curtains and rugs to make her dresses.

Hahahaha Yea but the dresses she made were pretty awesome for curtains! Deffinatly put Julie Andrews to shame (refrence to the Sound of Music here where she did the same thing for the boys and girls, as well as herself out of the old curtains hanging in her bedroom)

I actually really enjoyed this movie. It will without a doubt be one more of the dozen or so DVD's I own as soon as it gets released.

The love story was so cute!

Oh and to see Idna in it! (One of the stars from Rent and Wicked, she plays Patrick Dempseys Girlfriend) I was only too disappointed that SHE did not sing in it. She has such an amazing voice! But she looked so pretty in it!

I liked the twist in the end for her. : king :

and of course Amy was amazing as always!

I am trying to place her in Buffy can you refresh my memory as to who Beth was?
 
Yeah, I did love this film. It took me back to my childhood at the same time as mocking it. It was the ultimate Disney parody and what made it more funny was how Disney wasn't afraid to make fun of itself.
I do love the 'How does she know' scene where everyone starts bursting into song and he (the guy she ends up falling for...not sure of his name) is constantly very grounded throughout it telling her not to sing, that *he* doesn't sing. Or dance. and when she sends the flowers to Nancy via the birds (very Snow White meets Sleeping Beauty) he looks at her like she's crazy 'What are you nuts? They're birds. They don't know where she lives'.

So all in all, amusement was had. Haha. Of course my husband (who I dragged along to it. On pain of death dare he refuse to go)panicked half way through or so since when they all seperate- Giselle sadly going back to her Prince etc- I got all emotional and started crying. The poor man truly did not know how to cope. (He may be beginning to rethink the whole 'starting our own family is fun and exciting' angle.....)

Of course, I loved Queen Narissa. Susan Sarandon is one of my favorite actresses and she just ruled the show in this part. Loved her, loved her, loved her. Hehe

Wow how in the world did you manage to get your Hubby in the theatre with you?!?!?! Mine wouldnt go in if I dragged him kicking and screaming. LOL I did manage to get him to see the notebook with me after I saw it the first time...I told him there were some hot love scenes with the cute girl from meangirls and he was like ugggg ok....AND he cried hehehehe

Love Love Love Susan Sarandon, was disappointed that she didnt get MORE on screen time. My fav movie with her is without a doubt Bull Durham. Anyways...

the movie was grear though very hunorous. Disney did a great job!
 
Now you have to wonder...we know where all the dresses came from. And btw the blue dress she made first as a human was the best. But where did all the different shoes come from? 😉

How you say? By guilt. Guilt and lots of it. Plus he has enough sense about him to realize happy pregnant wife means happy husband living the quiet life. He did the math and thus he came along. mwa haha.
The Notebook however I went to see with friends. Cried lots at that and when I come home tear-stained and babbling about the film, the relief that he hadn't come along was visible on his face. Bless 'im. I liked the angle you used for getting your hubby to go along with you; very sneaky. And bonus points for witnessing him crying at the film. Haha.

And about Susan Sarandon- I totally agree that she didn't have enough screen time. I mean I know she had a lot of voice acting on it, but hello? On Screen is a much better scene stealer. I loved her in that so much (as I do for pretty much everything she's in haha). And most people aren't fans of this film, but favorite Sarandon film would have to be, surprisingly, Stepmom. Makes me cry every single time....*embarrassed face*. And loved her guest spotting in Friends. Very amusing. Hehe

Anyway, on with the Enchanted discussion people. Hehe

awww I love Stepmom as well. She was FANTASTIC in it. That role had to be difficult and I bawl like a baby in it as well. Worse sense I became a mom myself...
