For those people that read this, couldn't you picture the ending of this episode as the ending of an episode of Buffy? They would like, play a sad song like Better in Time or something, while we all sulk about everything happened. Is this agreed?

Yes, that was a definite "bittersweet montage with bittersweet song" ending, as often seen on Buffy and other shows at the end of an emotionally intense story arc. Drew Goddard is a screenwriter and I'm pretty sure that's the effect he and Jeanty were going for.

I think Goddard got the whole "episode" feel right down on the whole arc. It was all structured really nicely, and bounced about like the Buffy we know on TV. I WANT GODDARD BACK!

Me too. I also want to see Ben Edlund write an arc.
I agree. Also, A Beautiful Sunset felt like a TV episode 🙂 A very short one, but still.

I agree except, I'm not sure about the song.
I don't think a song would fit with Dracula's narration + the events.
I think it'd be silent....open...solemn.
So no horrible pop song playing in the background...def. the montage though.
Very nice Sir Goddard, very nice.

The song would probably start after Dracula said his piece.

Or maybe he'd just grab a banjo and go at it himself...

Dracula strumming the theme from "Deliverence." Now, there's an image to stick with you...
