Ending with Willow

I just wanted to see what people's opinions were on the ending of Season Six?
Myself, I found Willow's breaking down on the bluff with Xander to be one of the most moving moments ever in Buffy.:cry2:
 
Well, when I first saw this (before seeing any other BtVS season finale), I loved it.. And I still cry every time I see it.. But for some reason – even though I don't want to feel this way – it seems a little bit crappier than almost all the other season finales... Might be because I have especially Graduation Day, Restless, The Gift and Chosen in mind.. but I do wish Joss had written all the finales, including season 6.. It's not bad, at all, as I said, I love it.. But some small details.. I don't know, I might just be silly.. I don't know..
 
I liked it. It had a lot of the emotional touches that the other seasons have (I'm channelling season two and three here). It also had the major kick-butt scenes (Willow fighting Buffy). I think it was all around good.

We also got to see Xander play the Hero for once.
 
The season 6 finale was my favorite out of all the other seasons. Which is weird, since I didn't like season 6 all that much. Oh well, it was an awesome, awesome ending. Very suspenseful.
 
I thought the ending for this season was perfect it was very appropriate for that season, I loved how it was like a closed ending(It had a resolve) but it also left a load of questions.
 
I personally loved this season finale. I never would have expected the twist they put in there. It was a great ending to, what I think, was a great season. Dont get me wrong. There were better seasons, but this season dealt with a hell of a lot of new issues. (i.e. paranoia, "drug"(magick) abuse/misuse, loneliness, power, the one u love leaving u at the alter, losing your love and not being able to bring them back, coming BACK to life, being broke, finding a job, must I go on?) Even though a lot of people greatly disliked this season, I enjoyed it. I think Joss related this season to moving out of your parents house(so to speak...cuz in Buffy's case, Joyce died and Giles, her father figure, left her) and dealing with the obstacles that stand in your way.
 
After reading the Wicked Willow series, I'm more fond of the idea of Willow staying darn and wicked and fighting Buffy.
 
I also really enjoyed this finale! I think all of the finales have been good but I loved this one the most. The end was great, it had conclusion. I loved the last few mins of the episode the most with Willow Crying on Xander, Buffy and Dawn limping along, the fantastic Music in the background,( I still haven't found that song) the whole effect just had me bawling my eyes out.

I also loved other parts of the episode. I liked the Buffy Willow fight, I loved how Anya was so upset for Giles, and Jonathan and Andrew had me in stitches nearly all the way through the episode.
 
The song is Prayer of St. Francis by Sarah McLachlan. You can find it on Radio Sunnydale. And i'm sure its on one of her CDs.
 
The finale to season 6 was ok, as someone has earlier mentioned, it showed that Xander isnt as useless as some people see him. But it was a bit cheesy!

My favourite finale has always been Graduation Day..... and Primeval was kind of a sub finale, as Buffy killed Adam, that was very cool! With Restless being a nice follow on!

It made a change to see Willow also getting some arse kicking action! Go Go Go!
 
That's the thing with Buffy. You could call it cheesy, but we're so used to seeing kick-butt finales that when something more emotional happens, it just seems like we're right there with the characters we've known so well for so long. It's always presented so beautifully too.
 
Well S6 is just my favorite... almost every episode of S6 is among my favorites, although there are a few which only bare watching once. I think it was the best finale. Willow as the villan (the one who, at the beging of the show was most innocent) and Xander saving the day... it was perfect. Not just that, but the moment between Dawn and Buffy underground, and Giles coming with the magic to fight Willow. It's just fully realized in my opinion. All the potential was actually spent on the last episodes of S6 (from say 'Hell's Bells' to 'Grave' and including a few wodnerful standouts like 'Once More, with Feeling' and 'Dead Things'). I don't think they could have done anything better than they did. I do agree maybe a few details ould ahve been better if Joss wrote 'Grave', but I just don't know what any of them are.
 
I thought it was a great ending. I think the fact that it was Willow who was attempting to destroy the world instead of just some "big bad" made it so much more touching and personal.

I thought that moment between her and Xander was really great.
 
who better to bring her back than xander....they were best friends since they were little...( yellow crayon...) friendships like that last a life time.....it was very moving...xander = good speach man.
 
seeing red / end of season 6 with willow

okay im not afraid to say i cried at the end of seeing red and when willow and xander talked on the bluff...that right there was such an amazing way to bring willow back from her black eyed stage. and tara dying from a gun was so much more powerful than her dying from a demon attack i thought that was a great way to show how guns don't solve a thing. Seeing Red was a great episode when they brought tara and willow together again (end of entropy) but also sad when she died and when spike almost raped buffy...🙁

The conclusion of Season 6 was awe-inspiring-I loved the scene on the Kingman's Bluff. I thought that the lifelong friendship between Xander and Willow was one of the most endearing stories in the background of the show, and that the Season 6 finale put a deserving spotliight onto that relationship...

But I must say-the whole Dark/Evil storyline made it impossible for me to love Willow the way I had done so before. And as for Willow in Season 7--having held the power to destroy the world, the First, the Senior Partners of W&H and everything else...where does a character go from there?
