Well Easter itself is on Monday isn't it or? lol... so far sounds like 15th best for everyone....
not sure I can get TO because it's the holiday and my boss need staff and he already kind of made clear I had to be there... I'll definitely be free in the day... not sure about an evening but for those staying you could all come up to Snibs it's actually quite nice on Saturdays... and I may give you reductions on drinks if I can... hehe::evil2::
 
Lol, I've told Frenchy Faith all about Easter but I'm not sure she got it, eheh 😀 With the witches and the pink stuff and yeah... eh...
Anyways, that sounds like a great plan to me, I'll be there for sure!
 
Is it definitely going to be on Easter Saturday (15th April)? If so, there's a pretty good chance I can be there.

Have you had any more thoughts about a venue, Frenchy? There are plenty of places in Birmingham city centre but many of them are trendy chrome-infested bars. There were a couple of OK traditional pubs I remember from my student days but I'm not sure if they are still there...is there still a pub next to the College of Food (near the Central Library), I think it was The Shakespeare? There also used to be a good pub called The Prince of Wales, just off Broad Street - close to the Rep Theatre and the new Conference Centre...

Edit - a quick Google shows that there are also a couple of Wetherspoons pubs in the city centre...one in Paradise Place (near the library) and one on Bennetts Hill (just off New Street) - I've found their pubs to be reasonably priced, both for drinks and food. I've no idea what these are like though 🙂

So I've started having a look around for the venue... I've notice one O'neil pub was ok... but it's rather "further" than other places... I'll check the one you talked about Mr P! 🙂
I'm gonna look around the Bullring so that it's not too far from the 2 train stations and from the bus station....
For the time.... I would suggest meeting around 1pm..... earlier or later if you want anything is ok with me... 😀

Isn't the sun still still shining at 1pm? (believe me it happens in England...) Hum... I can't go out before 10pm but we'll see... Maybe it'll be a cloudy rainy day with an eclipse....... :brakelamp
 
Oh cool. I'm also gonna make it to the 15th as it seemes, yay. Gonna book my flight tickets in a few days or so (epo, remind me to talk to you about that..).

So are we saying around easter now? Cause that may be problematic as all "the uni kids" as I call them (although they're the same age as me but whatever) are back and I want to meet up with them. Chances are it won't make a difference but just mentioning it.

Yup as I said it's gonna be on April the 15th (it is a Saturday) in the afternoon!
Course epo I'll come and get you... not at the train station but at the bus station like last time I'm guessing?
Just so everyone know and is reassured... I'll meet all of you if you ask me... I mean as in wherever you arrive I'll be here so that you don't get lost.... it's gonna be fun... having a group of ppl growing and growing... and then we'll head to our venue! :nuts:

Me and the hubby might possibly be able to make this, depending on getting someone to have the kids - have you got a definite venue yet? 🙂 That is if you all don't mind another couple of 'oldies' tagging along? 😛 We're only in Tamworth, so it's only a quick train/bus journey away, though we've not ventured into B'Ham for over 14 years or so, and I didn't know my way round Brum back then, so I'd be lost in like, 30 secs now 'lol'

Not a definite venue "yet" but I promise I'll find one by mid-March.... it's going to be around the Bullring anyway... so that ppl don't have to walk for ages to get there from the bus / train station 😀

PS: epo... I looked for the wristbands online they only take order of 300 min.... poh... I'm looking into badges now... any other idea?

All the Swedes (Epo, Joamna, Ape) will be arriving with the same train I think. Yup, train, 'cause that's way faster and I don't have to get sick like I almost did the last time, lol 😉
And when I think about it I think I might find my way somewhere. But I'm not sure where 😀
 
Not sure about the March one - is there a definite date for that one?

I think we *may* be able to do the 15th April one...possibly. 🙂
 
Well, I'm in Birmingham from the 20th to the 24th March. I think Frenchy is arranging a meeting between herself, epo, Faldor and I (not sure who else, if anyone) for the 23rd. You and Andy are welcome to come along... 🙂 I'd love to see you there. If it's not convenient, no worries.
