It depends on what is being referred.
Taking Occams Razor, the most obvious one being shoe laces.
Obvious only because kids have to learn how to tie things.
The answer would be, ' tie it '.
noun - as used for fastening, or by which something is tied.
 
No, I mean, don't the English (and I don't mean this in an offense way) say "do it up" like to mean to use an American-ism "paint the town red"?

I suppose I can't really comment but I have heard the terms "Lets have it" or "Have it large" used as the English equivalent to "Paint the town red" or an alternative to "lets go wild".
