Hi guys and gals to cut a long story short me and my girlfriend split up two months ago after a 11 year relationship. She moved on after five days which as you can imagine hurt a lot. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on dating profiles and opening lines, im hopeless at this kind of stuff im not even sure if im ready yet to fully embrace a new relationship. But i want to put myself out there have some conversations and who knows see what happens.

I'd be no help at all on the dating scene, but I am sorry your relationship ended and loads of luck getting back out there. I can't imagine it's easy.

Am I on the right site? Either way, I certainly hope that none of our younger members decide to participate. Just saying.

Hugs, sorry to hear that news. I hope you are ok?
Do you have a good circle of friends? Maybe you could just start with going out for a night out with some friends and get used to being in a social situation where you are single? My advice is don't put yourself out there until you feel ready as 11 years is a long time to be committed to someone, just because she seems to have moved on quickly does not mean you have to rush yourself. If you feel ready then thats all good, by all means go for it.

First up you should decide what you do want, you said you are not sure if you want a relationship then in the next sentence you want to put yourself out there, to see what happens. New relationships are about being nice to people, caring about the people you meet. If you choose to go online and say you like a specific character, also say what other characters you like and don't like. Or leave the likes and dislike to things to talk about in conversation.

How disappointing was it to find out those cuties you used to wink at 12 years ago gave up waiting for you 3 years ago.
PS If you choose not to take me seriously I wouldn't blame you.
