you know in that 'hell' place, what were the workers/slaves working on?

does anyone know? this has been bugging me for about 2 days!
 
This episode bugged me, there must have been 20-40 people in there and they are down there for a day real time, so every day 20-40 people dissapear then reappear all old and wrinkled. thats a hell of a lot of people.
 
I don't know what they did down there, but some of the evil guys on Buffy are pretty weird........... For example, they all want to kill the Slayer, but what do they do for jobs???
 
It just looks like their doing steel kinda work. Like a steel-working (what a coincidence!)
 
God knows what they were doing. It might have just been part of the punishment of ending up in hell to do meaningless labour for the rest of your life. But it must have been for some reason, otherwise, why would Ken keep bringing people down there, something must have been getting built.

I guess it's just one of those un-explained things, like, why did the Gentlmen need 7 hearts? *shrugs*
 
i haven't really thought about that! After what i recall, weren't they digging or something? maybe they where digging hell alittle deeper... they say that hell is sepouse to be torment and so on, and they made the people lose them selfs, becoming no one, and identity is really important to most people...and they do deprive them of their whole life... and well, i don't know...
