Epic Battle.

Did you like the finale battle,I thought it was amazing ,theres much to admire in this episode..Epic fighting , sad moment made this epsidoe quality,Epic music made my head spin of excitment,....
What do you think of the battle scene.
 
It's totally great! I love the way Buffy moved. And everything's even getting better when she got The Scythe back from Kennedy. I love the slow-motion when she killed ubervamps one by one. I thought Faith was gonna die because of those ubervamps, but she survived. 😀

And about the 'upstair' fighting scenes. I feel so sorry for Anya and for Xander that he lost her. 🙁 I love how Xander and Dawn were in the same scene again. Robin, Giles and even Andrew were great too. 😉
 
I love the scene when she says "
Oh no...(looks down at Buffy's wound reflected on its body) ow! Mommy, this mortal wound is all...itchy. You pulled a nice trick. You came pretty close to smacking me down. What more do you want?

BUFFY
(through gritted teeth) I want you... (sits up) to get out of my face. (stands)"

Rona sees Buffy standing and throws the scythe to Buffy. Buffy catches it and swings it with a mighty force, knocking three Turok-Han off the cliff at once. Faith find renewed strength and kicks her assailants off of her as well. Faith takes out a few Turok-Han, as does another slayer. Vi takes out one after another after another. Kennedy disarms one and dusts another. Buffy knocks one off the cliff and kills one with the scythe. Spike gasps and stumbles backward away from the fight as he clutches his chest, then his burned hand.
 
It was well done 🙂 but I was really really scared when Buffy got hurt, I thought they're going to kill her in the last episode, I must admit I cried a little. I was happy when she showed us how strong she is, it was perfect because it was the end =)
 
I thought it was amazing. But, to be honest I wish they focused a little more on the deaths; when Anya, Amanda, etc. died it was just kind of like 'Oh, she's dead.' And even with Spike we didn't see much of it, or many reactions. But, other than that; it was too awesome to fault.
 
I don't have any feelings on Spike's death, I'm not that mean to say I'm happy, but I can't say I cried.
But with Anya, I felt so sorry for her. When she died I was just paf, and I hate how she was left there 🙁
 
I would have been much more affected by Spikes death if I wasn't already aware that 'he got better' in Angel.


Anya dying was definitely a 'heat of the battle' type death and I felt a little disconnected with her after she went back to being a demon and then wasn't again so it didn't affect me to much.


My real question is why were people like Dawn (child), Xander (recent victim of catastrophic injury) and Anya (basically an untrained human) at the Hellmouth in the first place? I consider that terrible planning on the Buffsters part.

I agree that the deaths seemed like they happened too fast but honestly they wouldn't have had to time to mourn
in a fight like that. I remember seeing Aanya die and literally feeling like someone punched me in the chest. I sobbed through the rest of the fight.

The music in the final battle was absolutely perfect. I can hear that piece without even watching the ep and be totally moved by it.

I cried for Spike's death only the first time I watched. Man, the truth is, on my BtVS season 5 dvd has Ats S5 promo and Spike's in it. It kinda ruined that moment.

And like HisMrs, I cried when Anya was killed till the end. 🙁
 
I loved the battle. I loved that they decided to say screw those old dudes who decided there could be only one, then they went and kicked some serious butt. I hate that Anya died. I am SO SO SO glad my sister told me that Spike is in season 5 of Angel. I read a little bit about that before I saw the finale, and I knew he died in the finale, because I still cried like a baby at that part. If I thought that was just the end and if I hadn't been prepared for it I think it would've taken me days to recover! I also wish we could've seen more reactions. I really wanted Giles to have to admit Buffy was right for not wanting him and the principal to kill Spike, even if the reasons for her were complicated (I thought Giles was such a JERK in season 7, it was weird). I wish we could have seen a little more of the aftermath, not a lot, just a little more emotional adjustment or something. But I LOVED the finale. It was one of my favorite episodes.

Exactly. I think it was a point about battle, you really don't have time to mourn. What I HATE is 15 minute death scenes in the middle of a pitched fight where the listening character in reality would have invalidated the sacrificer's death by standing there listening and protesting until it was too late.

The key to this battle's awesomeness is the potential slayers, and the Turok-Han. The fight lacked extras, and was the better for it. Everyone in the background is involved in an effective, well thought out, and quite polished battle of their own, although it is also true that I don't think the regular people should have been able to take out any Turok-Han, certainly not more than one.
 
Buffy is the freaking kick-ass slayer and she proves it!!!I was like "go girl!Noone can take her down!". Weilding the Scythe made her look even cooler!!! Go BUFFY!!!

I also really loved Faith in that scene!Always like watching her fight!And she kneeled when she saw Buffy fall, and she waited on her when all other left!

The death of anya...was just all of a sudden. I froze the video and I was like:"what has just happened?" I really felt sorry but she went down as a warrior!Good for her!

I even liked that brat Kennedy and Rona throwing the Scythe to Buffy. Metaphorically recognising Buffy's leadership!Really epic moments!

I kind of want more after this!I feel it was finished very suddenly!
