Episode 1.09: Back to School

Tru presents Luc as her boyfriend during the reunion. We learn that Judy was the captain of the swimming team and that Candace couldn't swim. Tru will find Judy crying at one point. Judy is upset because it's all about Candace! Candace! Candace! Everyone likes her: Tru, the other students, the teachers! Tru inquires and learns that Judy saw Candace with Mr. Connor a few minutes ago. It is Tru's 5-year high school reunion. Harrison goes to the reunion but gets in a fight with a man named Keith Morgan. Lindsay and Luc also attend the reunion. When she was in high school, one of Tru's best friends, Candace, stole Tru's then-boyfriend. Candace was successful in high school and was even named prom queen. Tru also bumps in Judy, the gossip queen of high school. Judy can't stop talking to Tru and even mentions something about Tru having let down Candace at some point. She also says that Candace got (and is getting) what she deserves. Judy seems to be jealous of Candace's popularity and the fact she was named prom queen. Tru meets up with one of her favorite teachers, Mr. Connor. The man just written a novel. Candace gets killed. When she repeats the day, Tru tries to convince Harrison to not go to the reunion but he notices that she is repeating the day and he gets her to tell him what is going to happen. He seems annoyed by her special powers. Then, Tru goes to Candace's apartment in the hope to make up for what happened in high school. There, Tru learns Candace wrote a novel about her high school years. Tru tries to persuade her not to go to the reunion. Not having convinced anyone, Tru goes to the reunion where she is named Reunion Queen. Harrison and Luc are there and they head of to see Keith Morgan. Tru tries to find Judy or Candace before the murder will happen. As she strolls down the corridors, she meets with Mr. Connor who says he's grading papers... but is he? She asks him to be on the look out for both ladies. Mr. Connor talks to Candace about her success as a writer. He admits he has been having a hard time getting published and he is jealous that she'll get publish on her first attempt.

The victim is Candace, and she is found murdered in the school's swimming pool on the night of the Tru's High School reunion. Tru and Luc, Lindsay and Harrison all attend the reunion. Tru runs into some old friends, and her favorite teacher, Mr. Connor. At some point Candace is killed and the day resets

Tru then goes to see Candace at her apartment, to ask her to stay away from the reunion. Candace is having none of it, especially since she just completed a book on her high school days that she feels will be a best-seller. That evening, the reset seems to be a bit different than before. Tru begins to suspect that the killer is another H.S. friend, Judy. Especially since Judy was swim team captain, and Candace is found dead in the pool.

While looking for Judy and Candace, Tru finds Mr. Connor in his classroom grading papers. Mr. Connor agrees to help look for the pair. While this is happening, we flashback on previous events, which reveal that Mr. Connor is not only a very unsuccessful writer, but that he's proofing Candace's manuscript.

Tru discovers him and Candace at the pool, where Mr. Connor is about to kill Candace for her novel. Tru saves her in the nick of time, and promises not to go to the police, as long as Mr. Connor resigns the next day.
