Episode 46: Helpless

[Helpless]

Hey guys,

What did you think of this episode...I found it really quite sad actually. I thought it was an awesome episode, hint hint my name but I found it quite sad and disturbing.

For Giles to actually do such a thing was horrible for me. Then when Buffy finds out and starts crying and calls him a 'bastard', it was just sad, really.

I felt horrible for Buffy and I felt bad when the guy pushed her and she fell over the bench and Willow helped her up. This episode also kinda had the freak factor going towards it, with the whole right of passage part to it. Anyways, I thought it was an awesome episode! It was sad though, with a bit of freak factor.

Pretty much a yawner. The idea of Buffy having to perform minus her physical prowess, when stripped down to its essentials, seems compelling, but, in execution, doesn't gel.

Worst of all, why did Giles have to spill the beans? That just didn't seem the Giles thing to do.

OK so It's not the best episode but it's not the worst either. I liked the bangel shippage. And of course I loved how Giles loved Buffy so special.

 

[Helpless]

I loved the scene in this episode where Buffy is talking with Angel at the beginning and says "Likes it when I call him daddy."

I thought that line was quite amusing and I definitely enjoyed it...

 

[Darling Faithy]

I thought it was good it went into the normal tradtions of slayers, i've always liked that, and the flashbacks to older times too, it gives the show history and it showed that it was a watcher's job to do that if the slayer lasts that long. I thought it was cool to do things alil by the book since everythin that B did was mostly winging it, although that seems the way to go if you want to live, for example:B and Faith, and Kendra, Kendra did things by the book and she died.

i liked this episode i thought it was pretty good.when you see buffy with all the bruises i was just like wow that must be really painful and thats kind of what it would be like for a normal person to fight against vampires with no slayer strength or help from anyone so i was kind of amazed by that.i felt sorry for her as well cos the person she kind of trusted the most and looked up to the most betrayed her and put her in total danger.i mean vampires go after her all the time and to have to fight them with no slayer strength plus at first she didnt know what was happening to her,i just thought it was a really cruel thing to do to her.

 

[SpikedBuffy]

This was a good ep. I like how Buffy still managed to defeat Kralic even without her powers. Really put to point just how good she was.

I disagree I think it was a Giles thing to do, he hated seeing what it was doing to Buffy and couldn't contain the guilt, I think it made perfect sense.
I liked this eppy, its not one of my favourites, I think it is probably one of the scarier episodes though which is a bonus.

i loved it. i loved the whole idea of buffy having to deal without having her powers or her strength that she was used to having. that scene with giles & buffy when she found out was aching especially when she says "you stuck a needle in me."

I like this episode a lot! Mainly because it shows us what it would be like if Buffy was just a regular girl without any powers and how she felt betrayed by the only person in the world she felt she could really trust, Giles. It was a very different idea for an episode but in a good way.

It was very good episode! I liked it. Through it was strange - I didn't expect that Giles would do such a thing. But I don't blame him. He was supposed to do it.

 

[Helpless]

I was happy that Giles came around. I never really thought of him as some stupid old man. I thought of him as a fatherly type roll, and I'm happy he admitted what he had done, even if Buffy didn't forgive him. It was the right thing to do, and Rupert fell through...and I loved that.

I thought that it was an awesome episode! I had always wondered would happen if she lost her strength. It was really good!!!

I loved this episode. It made me hate the Watcher's more than I already did at the time, since they made something that could fight off the forces of darkness, but for some reason, they attempt to kill them all off at the age of eighteen!

I loved "Helpless." At first when I was rewatching the episodes of Buffy I decided not to watch it because I thought I didn't like it but then I decided that I would just watch it anyway. So it turned out that I really like it!

I think that is an awesome episode and is one of the best episode that I have seen in season 3. I would watch it anytime.

"Helpless" was a fun and exciting episode. It had a lot of suspense. What really made me wonder was when Alex (I think that is the dangerous demon's name) got free. I was wondering if he was going to go roaming around Sunnydale or just wait for Buffy or somebody else to come and kill them. It was fun because Buffy lost her strength and her speed and we didn't know what was going to happen next. It was just such a great episode!! I hope everybody else loves it as much as I do!!!!

I liked it, it was pretty good. It covered all the general themes; there was romance (Bangel), humor (Cordy saving Buffy at school...lol...) and drama (Buffy/Giles).

I liked this episode. It was a great focus on the Buffy/Giles relationship. It was so sad at the end when he gets sacked for being too close to his slayer.
