the demon slavers on this episode I noticed it never says what happened, buffy was able to kill only a small number of the slavers, I'd have liked personally seeing them try warming thearts of one of the old people now living on the streets saying "I'm no one" show them kindness human empathy, maybe they might remember their name, right before they die

Also I was almost suprised, that the episode doesnt end with Family Home, or a similar organization by another name, opening up in a town in europe or China, buffy often ends with a Creepy "It's all over, or is it?..." message

The first I think is forgivable because of time constraints, any thoughts on the 2nd, other then, yes wanting to show a reconciliation between Buffy and her mother.

LOVE that episode I admit, The conecept sound so interesting I skipped ahead, KNOWING I was going to run into more then a few spoilers

(still not through with season 2)

Just saying it seemed like a situation that would invite that kind of creepy follow up.
 
Ok point... regardless, Think its safe to say that Family home DID reopen elsewhere... maybe I'm looking too deeply into it but it makes buffys HEroism here feel a bit hollow, for her to achieve only a partial victory and not see follow up in a Subsequent episode

Im sure that she gave a complete report on the incident to Giles, not sure what his reaction was though..
 
I think that its more likely that Family Home already had other locations throughout the world. Why would Los Angeles be their only source of new slaves? As far as that goes, why should they be the only demons who are doing something like that? I've always wondered, for instance, why some enterprising vampires didn't simply kidnap a bunch of people, lock them up somewhere, and feed on them indefinitely, without killing any of them. It would seem to me to be the easiest way to avoid discovery and dusting. (I think that they did pretty much that very thing in "Blade 3," but it's been a long time since I saw it)

Personal favor, he blackmailed her, or maybe he gave her say $50, or $500 for each healthy canidate she sent his way.

Beyond that, the handful of other people at family home, the ones buffy was giving her little performance to, think they were humans or demons, if demons they didnt put up much of a fight.
 
What got me was the time acceleration - people who had been enslaved for a day looked like they were 80 by the next day. I wonder why Buffy and the others didn't end up looking like they were at least five years older after the got out because of the few hours they spent there.

They didn't look any older because we were following them in the demon dimension. They spent a couple of hours there in the demon time zone. So in the real world next to no time would have passed by.

He was almost certainly paying her for the names of likely (homeless) young people who came in to the blood bank to sell their blood. X dollars for each healthy, drug free, young man or woman with immediate ties to the community. Most likely, he had, not just her, but several people in key positions all over the city working for him in that capacity, maybe some even actively grabbing and delivering people to him, just like any other white slave marketeer.
 
This episode has these loose ends because the main purpose of the episode was to tell the viewer that time moves differently in hell, so that when Angel came back later in the series then we were already aware of this fact
