Passion or I Only Have Eyes for You?

Passion; it's not a perfect episode- some of the lighter moments don't quite land- but it is darkly compelling and does have that stunning ending that changed the stakes; suddenly the characters we knew weren't as safe as we thought.


Faith's In Town: Five By Five or Salvage?

Five by Five: That's a tough one. I really liked 'Salvage', but I have to give it to 'Five by Five' if only for that final 5-10 minutes. Probably my favorite sequence involving Faith and Angel.

A solid entry in S1 and a nice Cordy episode, plus we get a tightening of the group dynamic with Angel and Doyle helping each other out. I love how Cordelia quickly became a nightmare roommate for Angel.
