Episode Recs Please

I need some help.

I have a friend coming over and she wants to be introduced to Buffy. She saw a picture of the #36 comic cover, you know, the one with the New Moon parody, and is Intrigued by the 'love triangle' (we'd just been to see Eclipse, so love triangles were kind of on our mind 😉) so she asked to see an episodes that best embodies the Buffy and Angel relationship and one that best embodies the Spike and Buffy relationship.

Got any suggestions for me??

Can you show them angel episodes? Cuz I will always love you is full of bangely goodness, maybe something like Touched for spuffy (although maybe someone else would be better at suggesting a spuffy ep. Lol!) And maybe that episode of Angel were Spike and Angel go to Rome to rescue Buff from Tue immortal as that will have the triangle stuff?

Hm, for Spuffy, I'd be inclined to go with something from season five - maybe Fool for Love? Perhaps I'm biased as that's my favourite episode - but you get the idea of their relationship dynamic at that point in the series: Spike's unrequited love, the fact that he doesn't know if he wants to kill her or kiss her, as well as the beautiful moment on the porch, which I think is when he realises it's love and not just obsession. Plus Spike's backstory which is just fascinating (and punk!Spike is hot. 😛)

Then you've got Buffy's dislike of him, but quiet acceptance when she allows Spike to comfort her at the end of the episode.

Plus, you know, all that UST. 😛

Doesn't hurt that FFL is one of the best eps of the series (at least, IMO).
