I have rewatched "Fear Itself" and "Pangs" a lot. And, for that matter, a lot of Buffy season four. The arc may not be the best but there are a lot of good standalone episodes.

I gotta quote this because you put 'Reptile Boy' and 'Bad Eggs'. I've seen so many fans hate on those two episodes. Do you enjoy them for the cheesiness or just the humour? 🤣

I totally forgot about 'Sense and Sensitivity'. That's a funny one. "You could be a rainbow and not a... painbow!"

As for everyone else who posted, good stuff! I see that 'Band Candy' is a recurring favorite. It is so good! Praise to Jane Espenson for writing amazingly funny episodes.

Both! If I want comfort then I want something that’s gonna give me good, light-hearted vibes. I think people are too hard on those eps, they’re silly fun and really play with high school tropes/horrors. I just works for me 🙂
I think OMWF and Tabula Rasa have the same amount of cheesiness and same kind of humor really, they just have better budgets!

Come to think of it, I’ll add School hard to my list. It is also great fun. Cordy praying in the closet, lol! Lemonade without sugar, classic.

They're definitely funny. In contrast, there are some not-so-funny filler episodes in season 6 that should deserve more criticism!

Band Candy, Earshot, Smile Time, Living Conditions, Rm w/a Vu & Doppelgangland to laugh but also Wrecked, Forever, Dead Things & The Body when I want the drama & to cry which can be comforting/cathartic.

Innocence is comforting in a weird way at the end w/Joyce & Giles comforting Buffy as well as episodes Anne, Family, Once More with Feeling, The Prom & You're Welcome

Go Fish, Smashed, Doublemeat Palace & Harms Way are my guilty pleasures 😝
