'doppelgangland', that scene where giles hugs willow. aw

i didn't actually say it out loud, i thought it though ..

::snow2::

hmmmmmmmmm Prophecy Girl........ When Buffy turned down Xander then Willow did to...... It was like Poor guy can't even get a date to the dance... sad, sad story.

The end of "Prophecy Girl" when they all leave the library, including Cordy now a "scooby" and part of the gang.

When Spike has counted the days since Buffy died in The Bargaining Part 2. It just makes my heart ache.

The Prom. When Cordy Got the dress from Xander. Sweet.
That was the best.

I don't know why I just thought of this one, but Xander telling Anya how he feels about her in "Into the Woods", right after he tells Buffy to run after Riley: "I've gotta say something... 'cause...I don't think I've made it clear. I'm in love with you. Powerfully, painfully in love. The things you do... the way you think... the way you move... I get excited every time I'm about to see you. You make me feel like I've never felt before in my life. Like a man. I just thought you might wanna know."

Now that's an 'aww' moment.

There were alot of B/A moments that made me go 'aww,' such as, when Angel said 'In 243 years, I've loved exactly one person.' and also the part when he was telling her that he saw her before she was a slayer.

I agree aslo, that Xander/Anya moment was an 'aww' it was so sweet.

That was a very sweet moment! especially what Cordy put Xander though!!!

i love the bit when Willow goes "i'm eating tis banana now, it's not lunch time i dont care!" when shees in a little strop. and "I believe these chicken feet are mine!" sweetie...

I also like when Cordy got the dress from Xander.

I also like when Angel told Buffy, the first he saw her and that he saw her heart. That so sweet and aw.

When Xander proposed to Anya, it was an aw moment until she slapped him.

Then it was aw again when he explained about why he didn't think they were going to die.... and then she said yes! Definite AWWWW!!!!

There has been hell of alot of moments when I went "aww"! These are some of em:

- "Becoming part 2", where Xander sat beside Willow's bed while she was unconcious and talking to her, then saying "I love you" Willow then waking up and saying Oz's name.

- When Xander bought Cordy's prom dress in "The Prom"

- Where Angel gave Buffy a claddagh ring for her birthday and said a lil speech. And where Angel finally comes out and says he loves Buffy, even though his feelings have been obvious since "Teachers Pet".

A lot of the Buffy/Giles moments. Like:

--In "Never Kill A Boy On the First Date", right after she dumps Owen for his own good (even though she really likes him), and Giles tells her how pompous and tiresome his own father had been about duty and responsibility when he informed Giles at age 10 that he was to be a Watcher (instead of a pilot or a grocer).

--In "The Dark Age", after the Scoobies have rescued Giles and Jenny from Eiyghon, when he says to Buffy "Adults can be stupid and short-shighted, too", and Buffy realizes they might have more in common than she'd thought.

--In "Lie To Me", when they're at Ford's grave waiting for him to rise, and Buffy asks if it gets any easier as you get older. Giles asks "What do you want me to say?", she responds "Lie to me", and Giles spins out a happily-ever-after-fantasy for her as their leaving the cemetary after dusting Ford.

--In "Surprise", the famous scene in Giles car after Buffy finds out how she's (inadvertently) turned Angel into Angelus and feels like a total failure, and Giles builds her up again.

--In "Passion", when Buffy rescues Giles from the burning factory, and he yells at her for getting involved in *his* fight. She clocks him one, then hugs him and tells him she couldn't let him die because she needs him so much.

--In "Helpless", after Giles has been fired by the Watcher's Council and Buffy has basically told Quentin Travers to leave town before she set eyes on him again. Giles takes the towel Buffy has been clenching during her exchange with Travers and starts gently stanching her (considerable) facial wounds.

There are, of course, many more...

The father/daughter relationship between Buffy and Giles is, I think, one of the best things about the show, maybe even more than Willow and Oz. But only just.

So here's a few more.

Dead Man's Party, when Buffy goes to Giles' house after being gone all summer. Giles goes into the kitchen to make tea and starts to tear up because he's so relieved his Slayer is home.

There's in Fool For Love, Buffy and Giles are discussing why Watchers don't talk about how or why their slayer died...here it is:

BUFFY
Why didn't the Watchers keep fuller accounts of it? The journals just stop.

GILES
Well, I suppose if they're anything like me, they just find the whole subject too-

BUFFY
Unseemly? Damn. Love ya but you Watchers are such prigs sometimes.

GILES
Painful... I was going to say.

I know this is in season 5, but i thought i would write it anyway, on 'The Gift' when Buffy tells Willow that shes the strongest person there. I dont know why but its like Buffy is willing to say that theres someone stronger than herself, The Slayer, just to boost her friends morale!

Agreed. It wasn't even really that sad, but the first time I watched that episode, I was tearing up for Buffy and for Giles at the same time in that scene. That was one of the earliest moments where Buffy realized she couldn't have a normal life/boyfriend.

As much as I don't care for Buffy's relationships, I can't help but nearly cry at that. That's a definite aww moment. Especially because of the way Buffy says "Always."

Here's another one I thought was good (the whole thing was kinda long, so I just took out the part I thought was best):
Willow: Must be tough. I mean, here I am, I can do anything I want. I can go to any college in the country, four or five in Europe if Iwant.
Buffy: Please tell me you're going somewhere with this?
Willow: No. I'm not going anywhere.
Buffy: UC Sunnydale?
Willow: I will be matriculating with Class of 2003.
Buffy: Are you serious?
Willow: Say, isn't that where you're going?
Buffy: I can't believe it! Are you serious? Ah, wait, what am I saying? You can't.
Willow: What do you mean, I can't?
Buffy: I won't let you.
Willow: Of the two people here, which is the boss of me?
Buffy: There are better schools.
Willow: Sunnydale's not bad. A-And I can design my own curriculum.
Buffy: Okay, well, there are safer schools. There are safer prisons. I can't let you stay because of me.
Willow: Actually, this isn't about you. Although I'm fond, don't get me wrong, of you. The other night, you know, being captured and all, facing off with Faith. Things just, kind of, got clear. I mean, you've been fighting evil here for three years, and I've helped some, and now we're supposed to decide what we want to do with our lives. And I just realized that that's what I want to do. Fight evil, help people. I mean, I-I think it's worth doing. And I don't think you do it because you have to. It's a good fight, Buffy, and I want in.
Buffy: I kind of love you.
Always get a kick out of watching that scene. They're adorable.

1.- Willow visiting Tara's grave, and even though it's not the same ep, Willow crying about how she had forgotten Tara while she was becoming Warren

2.- Spike counting the days is amazing

3.- Oz talking about Willow kissage

4.- Oz destroying the thing needed to eliminate the Box of Gravok

5.- The Mayor yelling "Find her" to all his minions when Faith was missing

6.- "You stupid worthless bitch" and the whole scene

7.- Xander lighting up Spike's cigarette

8.- Different show but, Faith yelling "Kill me" to Angel and Wesley dropping the knife (I'm not sure if that belongs, but i kinda got the feeling)

9.- Doyle hitting Angel and kissing Cordy before sacrificing himself

10.- Giles saying how he had dreamt about saving Jenny
