Episode Discussion Epitaph One

Can someone please correct me if i'm wrong but aren't Sierra and Victor sorta aware just not fully aware? cause I want them to team up.

Don't be so eager for the Victor/Sierra pairing! It's a Joss show. One of them is doomed as soon as they're aware enough to be with one another.

I got the impression they are fully aware, but Sierra's afraid of being wiped again.

Also seems like they were already together and have broken up.

It was amazing!
But now I'm worried that I won't like watching season 2 as much as if I hadn't known where it's headed. I mean, it's not a time travel show. So everything we saw in 2019 is going to happen, regardless of what happens in season 2 and further. It makes everything in between less relevant. I don't like reading a story, starting at the beginning, then jumping ahead a few chapters before the end, then come back to where I left near the beginning. That makes reading the stuff in between more like a chore than a real pleasure to me. I would have much prefered not to know with so much certainty what the future holds for the world in DH.

Its hard to tell if what we saw in Epitaph One will actually happen in Dollhouse over season 2. For all we know Joss could start to turn it around and the future we saw was more like an alternate future and what happens in season 2 might lead to show what will change to see that future never happen.

I still can't stop thinking about this episode though thats how blown away with it I still am. Im trying to work out everything to see if we've been givin any hidden clues other than the ones we've seen with the "headaches" and everyone being wiped or how ever it was put. It makes it all very interesting.

The journey is far more interesting than the destination.

Although Epitah One is obviously not THE destination and there's much left to tell afterwards.

^^ They talked a bit about the "future dilemma" at Comic Con.

Thanks for posting.
I just saw the episode on Swedish television.

It really was great.

Wonder how much and how fast they will be working towards this future now immediately in season 2.
Looking forward to find out, can't wait for the season to start.

Live TV premiere?

I saw it too, and absolutely loved it. It was broadcasted on the Swedish Channel TV400. Could this have been the world premiere on live TV? If so I don't think the channel was aware of it - no attempt to create an intererest...

I don't mind that so much.
As long as it's just the last episode instead of jumping around all the time. I think the 13 episode format is great for Dollhouse.
I see series turning to it more and more, especially quality cable shows like Dexter, True Blood and the like.
Less padding filler episodes and more substance.
The statement concerning Epitaph Two gives me the idea that each season will tie directly into moving the dual storyline along without giving too much away on either.

I think it was. And not like I keep my tv on much nowadays but I've heard nothing. But at least they showed it. 🙂

I enjoyed the episode but now I want so much. Obviously I want the show to continue after season one ended but I also want to see what happens after this episode. I want to see their journey as well. But for the moment I'm just happy we get a second season at all. Shouldn't be greedy.

Just watched it. Man, the amount of "Wtf?" moments i had in this episode is pretty much on par with the amount of ones i had for the last season finale of Lost. Which is saying something.

LOVED it, but so very confused... especially after watching that video now of Joss saying that not necessarily everything is truth, or that the memories are all true, or play out how we assume... argh!

I think I nearly pee peed myself with the joy of this ep! why why didn't they include this in the series, what dafties!

I think one of my favourite eps to boot now 😀

It was also scarey, we are wireless now eh? scarey stuff to behold! Gets your mind ticking away untill you have went insane like Topher.

What happened to November and why and how did Alpha help?

I need to know * stamps* nows I say !

P.S wee girl from heroes creepy creepy

I think the nod to november was pretty int interesting, it sounded like we'll have a new november next series (Or dare I say, down the line!) and that something bad happened to both!

I know what you mean! This episode would have made a great stand-alone movie, with a little conclusion added... "I hope we will find me alive", indeed. This episode really showed the true potential of the brain-imprint concept, and its mind-boggling. I have great hopes for the future now!

Holy crap at the Comic Con vid. I couldn't even pay attention to Joss because I kept staring at Eliza. I've never seen someone be so unbelievably sexy by just sitting there in a chair.

got to +++ that :)
I seem to be dissenting in saying that I didn't like this episode very much. The performances of the individual characters were great and as a stand alone, this was episode would have been quite amazing, however I feel that this sudden change, far too radical for the show. I know that Joss didn't expect to come back to a season 2 at FOX, but I really don't like the idea of this dystopia presented to us. LA is in ruins and the world population have become zombies for the most part.

Too much content was fit into the one episode, albeit understandably. I might have to watch the episode again to fully appreciate it but currently I'm feeling quite edgy about season 2.

In the end, the episode alone was great but where it may lead to, i'm weary about. It feel kind of like a TSCC sort of deal. ( I haven't watched enough of that to know what I'm really talking about though)

I reeeaaallly didn't like this episode. At all. The dialogue seemed really off and the direction just didn't work. And it bored me. Sad times 🙁

I thought it was great. Amy Acker's performance of Whisky, after she releases the gas into the dollhouse was breath-taking. Felicia, well I love her, so of course I think she was great. I don't know if this is really where I wanted the story to go but it's Joss so I'll stick with him.I can't wait to see what they are going to do with season 2. The girl who play the little girl was very talented, the way she could flip back and forth between different personalities.
