Error in Blood Ties

I'm doing my rewatch and I noticed a continuity error or something. When Dawn runs away from home and wanders through Sunnydale street she stops in front of some swings and remembers her and what I think is supposed to be Buffy playing...but they are very young! Continuity error: they didn't grew up in Sunnydale.

I feel so nerdy, I never notice this kind of things 😀

Good point! Maybe there was a similar park where they grew up...and the park in Sunnydale reminded her of it..?

Well, but, they didn't grow up together at all. I'm guessing that when the monks planted memories in Dawn's brain, they planted memories of growing up in Sunnydale, because they didn't know that Buffy had moved there from somewhere else.
 
[MENTION=11161]patriot1123[/MENTION] If Dawn's memories were of her growing up in Sunnydale then Joyce and Buffy would have found out really soon that there was something wrong.
Also I'm pretty sure that in some episode Dawn actually says that she was 10 when they moved to Sunnydale.

Good points.
Maybe she was longing for simpler times. When I pass playgrounds sometimes I remember this one time in particular that my twin and I stayed after school playing on the playground together. Playgrounds make me remember that, especially if I'm really missing him that day. But we didn't play on the vast majority of the playgrounds that make me think of that.
 
I thought it just jogged a memory at a similar park, not necessarily the same park.
 
I thought it was the same park because well, it was the same park but with two girl in it.
 
That's not a error. That flashback could have shown a fake memory from the early seasons. They're not that young in the flashback.

They did everything else seemingly perfect, I doubt they would forget to check Buffy and her families background. Unless they simply did a spell tha automatically fabricated all memories, documents etc etc that was needed.

[MENTION=11518]shadcat[/MENTION] What does that have to do with the topic? I don't think anyone in the thread forgot it was a fake memory(or that they had bent reality, creating a new one, like the wish verse).
 
The thing that made me think that those were young Buffy and Dawn was that those weren't even SMG and MT, at least not their voices 🙂
