This has always bugged me, how did Angel get into Rebecca's house when the intruder was there? Is it a glitch in the writing or is there a logical explanation given in the episode that I keep missing?

I think they settled on it being the PTB. I know we had this discussion awhile ago (so long ago it might actually be in the graveyard by now). I'll dig around and see if I can find it for you.

Yeah, I was right. The relevant dialogue, when Rebecca comes to see Angel after she's almost killed the first time:
Rebecca: “Huh. – Well, stop by. I’ll give you a private screening of the episode I - didn’t win the Emmy for.”
Angel moves to put his desk between them: “Thanks for the invitation but - um...”

I didn't see how it could be the PTB since they really weren't involved and I don't see how they'd want to be involved with the Rebecca thing.

Cause I was thinking Kate, not Rebecca. The PTB didn't have anything to do with Rebecca; you're right.

Beat me to it; I was just about to post that. It seems to be the closest thing to an invitation she gives him before the charging-through-the-door bit.

Blondie Bear - I always wondered about the Kate one too, but for some reason, maybe I did read that thread you were talking about, because I was also under the impression that the PTB were the reason for that one, but I just couldn't figure out the Rebecca one.
