I just wanted to blow a little salut for Ethan Rayne here. He was a really fun and interesting add to show. For once he showed something important about Giles. But I think he stood well as caracter on his own. Worshipping caos! And he was the man behind some really fun episodes. Hallowen. Band candy. A new man. To bad he had no apperances during the later seasons. But well, I guess He was still in prison then.

Yea, I always thought it a shame that he didn't appear more. I got the impression he was shaping up to be a recurring character but I suppose the PTB decided that he wasn't going to be. He was a favourite villain of mine and did give us a lot of Giles backstory. He would've been a great villain in Ripper, if that had ever got off the ground.

I always thought it would have been cool to see him end up over on Angel, maybe tied up with Wolfram and Hart. Not only would it have been a great story in itself but it would have given the writers a really good reason to have Giles guest star on the show too. That was something I always wanted to see.
