Eurovision 2025

It was a country music group chosen and made to see a song that wasn't theirs.

If we're going to have people singing then they should write or at least pick the song that suits their voices.

We used to have a voting show for the act,but now it's just announced that this is who it is and this is what they are singing.

Oh that is a shame, cause yeah, that song did not suit their voices at all!

I didn't watch it, I see we lost as I predicted in my head. Politics in my opinion! 🙁
Nah it was a bad song! We did well in the jury vote, but it's a song that needed either a solo singer or being more upbeat. It just didn't work for eurovision.

We need to go back to voting for our entry.

I'm guessing it'll be in Vienna next year.

Did you hear your song? Saturday was the first time I saw it and we all just sat on the couch, frowning, confused as to what we were even watching.

So no, a musically brilliant country sending absolute crap and getting 0 is not politics.

Israel however…

Switzerland not getting any public points was a big shock given how well they did with the jury points.

Given next year is the 70th, I wonder if more countries will compete, or if they'll invite a different country like they did with Australia.

I quite liked Switzerlands song, I made a note of it to listen to it again. Didn’t vote for it though, not sure why. I cast my vote for Luxembourg.

As long as it isn’t more countries in the finale. Staying awake for 26 numbers was a chore.

How do you vote? Maybe thats why we did no good haha. I saw barely any publicity for this years entry. Last year was over the top publicity and previous years before that I generally knew who was going. This year I didnt have a clue until @nightshade told me. Radio silence.

Not sure how it works elsewhere as we don't compete in the semis here, but we're assigned a semi final that we can vote in, and the top 10 countries in each semi then go through to the final, alongside the big 5 countries (uk, Spain, France, Italy and Germany) plus the previous winner.

Here we can only do telephone voting too, whereas some countries have text and online I think.

It's 15p here to vote, and for the final at least, you can vote up to 20 times.

Of course that probably means it'll be at least $1 for aussies!
