For those who graduated school already, have you ever had a "Principal Snyder" principal in your school before? A Principal who only saw the bad seed in you and not the good side of you even though you were always good?

Not exactly the same thing, but we had a football coach at our high school who honestly believed that the only function of the school was to give total support to the football team and the football players. Nobody else in the school mattered, and if you were big (I was) and had no interest in football or anything associated with the game (I didn't) you were a traitor and beneath contempt.

Sounds like the former coach for our team!

We also had one of these! Everyone loved him though, because he was so weird with it that it was actually quite funny.

At Christmas time we did cross country running, you could either do the "Santa Sprint" (for the fast kids) or the "Turkey Trot" if you were slower.

Woe betide you if you chose the Turkey Trot.

We had one in junior high... He was one of those men who takes himself way too seriously and won't let anyone have any fun. I was so happy to see him go.

The football players and the football fans loved Coach Bragg (I swear, I'm not making that up. His name was Branch Bragg) because he could train a team to win. We were state champions for five or six years running. But, as I said, he had no use whatsoever for people who weren't football fans, actually to the point of being abusive to some of them. The man was a bully who abused his authority, but he could do no wrong in the eyes of the alumnus.

They were all Snyder to me except one of them...she thought I was nuts but not bad like the rest all try to paint...bunch of haters but Snyder is hilarious cause he pulls it off so well

Did I have a Synder? You betcha by golly wow I did. Will never forget him. Mr. Saunders. Before him, we had a great principal, who wasn't too strict, and who let us have fun. As soon as she left, and he took her place, there were less school dances, less after school activities. He had this beady eyed look he'd always give us, like we would walk down the hallway, and he just knew we were doing something wrong. I got so scared once because I had to go to the main office to run some errands for yearbook. And me and my friend had took some swigs of alcohol before school (long story), so I was already buzzed. He had walked passed me and stopped. I was already trying sooooo hard not to tilt over, or act conspicuous. But he gave me this weird look and then we walked away. God, I was so relieved. Hahaha. And he had this annoying, monotone voice, he sounded like the Terminator. *intercom* Today, there will be no mock trial. Mock trial has been canceled. *end intercom*. He was such a douche. LOL.

Your description of him is hilarious. XD
I kind of wish we had, maybe school would have been a tad more exciting 😉 haha I did have a principal in middle school who banned hugging. Yes. Hugging. I also had one in high school who was fired for falling asleep all the time.

Thrilling stuff.

Oh...and there was also this horrifying woman who taught English at my high school for a century...I think she was on the news once because she's 97 and is still teaching. She crapped her pants in class once, allegedly. She looks cute and sweet, but she's terrifying. Snyder in granny form.

No I don't have a Prinzipal Snyder right now but next year we'll get a new Prinzipal. Hope that it won't be someone like Snyder. But anyway, it'll be my last year in school so it doesn't really matter for me!

His name was Maynard. I can't remember his last name for the life of me.

He was 100 percent convinced that I'd vandalized the bathrooms. Even got suspended for it, and I didn't. I mean seriously, if I had, I'd fess up about it now.

But for the rest of my time at that school he was like a hawk over me. One time this guy threw an open milk carton at me and it exploded on the back of my chair. I only knew it was a guy because I heard someone shout something behind me.

Maynard came over asked me who did it and I said I didn't see who it was. And he was all . . . "*sigh* . . . you know Laura, if someone threw milk at me I wouldn't try to hide who it was. I'd tell on them."

And I was like, "but! My back was turned to where the milk came from!"

And he still glared at me. Like all day.

I can't remember if my hair was blue yet or not at this time, but I'm thinking if it was, that probably had something to do with his suspicion.

I don't know why people make that assumption, that different people are bad people . . . It's upsetting.

And this isn't actually to say that Maynard was a bad person, he was a guy just like everyone else, but he really . . . really . . . didn't like me.
