Ever wondered how Amanda was allowed to stay at the Summers' house

Has anybody ever wondered what Buffy and the gang told Amanda's family on why Amanda wasn't living with her parents anymore?
 
Well, it wasn't just Amanda. It was all of the potentials. I think they just ran from home or lied about their whereabouts.
 
I thought she might have told her family. It's not like they have time to hide and lie and sneak about at that time, I thought it would be easier to tell them the truth and that it's the safest thing for them and their daughter for her to stay at the Summer's house!
 
I'm with [MENTION=10823]Bexieh[/MENTION] on this one, I think she explained to her parents and they agreed it was for the best. 🙂
