Why did everyone hate it? I thought it was seriously one of the funniest things I've ever seen/heard. Your opinions please?

[See my sig for most hilarious quote from the song. 😛 ]

I actually liked the song, too. I found it extremely amusing ("Yeah, we totally had sex" and "that guy, he smells like poo"), but I also love Nathan's voice, so that helps~

I liked it well enough. Only watched act three once, though, so I can't say for sure why I liked it. Just thought it was funny!

Not my favorite song, not my least favorite.

I LOVED IT!
I just hope to never be caught singing it while doing the dishes...especially at my parent's house!

FANTASTIC! i loved how he continued to sing after he was un froze,...... the lyrics are great, i love the 'mostly me'

yeah, I was a bit suprised about that too.

Its hilarious.
I like how he sings that everyone is a hero and still manage to put himself above all else lol

Everyone's a hero in their own way. You, and you, and mostly me, and you

/SK

I loved this song so much! Plus, it was Nathan singing which is always going to be a good thing. Captain Hammer - what a ledge!

Huh, well, maybe it's only the minority of BB members that hate this song. I think the song is utterly hilarious. There are so many funny parts in it:

It may not seem to classy,
Beggin just to eat,
But you know who does that, Lassie,
And she always gets a treat.

HAHAHAHAHA

lol! classic stuff
actually, i hated it the first time, but after listening to it a couple more times, my brain started registering things it didnt before. plus, it grew on me. then i started liking it a little better. still, by far, not my favourite of all the songs, but i do like it now 🙂.

Its growing on me even more, I was surprised by Nate's voice the first time I heard him sing and he sounds great in this song

I think it just went on for too long. After a few minutes, I was all, "okay, I get the point, he's a jerk. Let's move on. To Horrible!"

As usual....good point. I think I'd like it better on DVD where I don't have to sit at the computer to watch.
Meh, I actually find Hammer more fun to listen to than Horrible. Mostly just because he's... hilarious. I'm sure once I watch it on DVD and look beyond the humor I'll like the Horrible's songs more, but for now, Everyone's a Hero is great!

yeah thats was the best part when i watched it first time, when he leaps onto the van.... i was waiting for Nate the entire time.... he's so funny and plays Captain Hammer perfectly to cheesy effect.

I would probably agree with you 100% if it weren't for the fact that while he's going on, and on, and . . . on there were so many shots of the crowd eating it up like it was the I Have A Dream speech, so you're in TOTAL agreement with Dr.Horrible a few minutes later when he's musically lecturing them all for being sheep.

Plus, (and this totally a guess on my part) I suspect they may have over-written Hammer's song on purpose so that when he finally gets hit with the freeze ray we'd all go "Oh, thank you GOD! Go Dr.Horrible!!!" Rooting for him all the more because Hammer has just annoyed us with a gas-baggy Ode To Himself. But that's a guess.

I'm liking the name! It makes me laugh!

I couldn't agree with you more! This song was the worst (for me). However i have to say that it was funny sometimes. I think this quote was really funny: "..that guy, he smells like poo" and it wasn't the only funny part of course but that doesn't change my opinion.. i still think the song's boring. And the part when everyone starts singing "Everyone's a hero..." .. i was like "Where's horrible? where's he??!" 😛

My favorite part was when all the homeless people start waving their hands in the air LOL! It was a great moment. I loved it.

I loved the song. It was just like one of those macro'd motivational posters that are all sorts of wrong, in musical format.
I enjoyed it 😀
