Do you remember those posters in grade school that said "Everything I ever need to know I learned in kindergarten?" Well, I recently realized that most episodes of Buffy have a little lesson built into them, about life, or love, or breakfast foods -- Anyway, I started a list of Buffy lessons; feel free to add your own please!!
Here it is. Your moment of truth.
Evil doesn't always sport obvious pointy teeth -- and things that sport pointy teeth aren't always evil.
Don't feel pressured to do something just because your parents did it when they were your age.
High school is hell.
College is a lot like high school.
Sex is bad.
Don't trust people on the Internet. You could be talking to an ax-murdering circus freak posing as a high school student.
The older you get, the more lies you hear and the harder it is to separate them from the truth.
Everything is life or death when you're sixteen!!
Love is blood, not brains. It makes you do the wacky and un-do common sense.
Don't be a sheep.
Never kill a boy on the first date.
Don't, however, do something so extraordinary on the first date that it can't be topped on the second.
There is no problem that can't be solved by chocolate . . . except barfy feelings.
Don't diss an Englishman's tea.
Compassionate, caring, understand high school principals get eaten.
Things you really want you should be willing to work hard enough to get.
"Even if you see 'em coming, you're not ready for the big moments. No one asks for their life to change, not really. But it does. So
what are we, helpless? Puppets? No. The big moments are gonna come, you can't change that. It's what you do afterwards that
counts. That's when you find out who you are." - Whistler, "Becoming"
"Always be yourself. Unless you suck." - Joss Whedon
Don't use steroids. They'll turn you into a homicidal fish-monster.
The only thing you have to fear is fear itself.
A multiple-choice computer-analyzed questionairre cannot determine your true vocation.
Treating people like they're invisible will turn them invisible.
Don't be mean to anyone because those that you're mean to could end up being your friends if your other friends fail you.
Waffles are cool because syrup can stay in the little holes.
Any wrong that has been done to you, or that you have done, can be amended through hard work and time. Don't kill yourself.
Boys are not always smarter or stronger than girls.
Alcohol turns your biological clock back a million years.
All good things must end.
Death is final. It would be better not to bring the dead back to life.
But love is forever.
High school students shouldn't go to frat parties. They might end up as a sacrifice to a giant demon snake.
Learn to forgive others. Even harder, learn to forgive yourself.
Even British librarians have a dark side.
It's better that your parents act uptight and strict than act like teenagers, so don't complain.
The only infallible force you have in your life is yourself. Everyone and everything else can die, or betray you, or expire,
like Cheetos.
It's okay to lost yourself in love just so long as you don't stay lost.
Avoid impulsive decisions.
Female robots aren't built to play checkers.
Remember the three keys to success: preparation, preparation, preparation.
The three keys to success is actually one word three times.
Tact is just not saying true stuff.
Wear a cross and carry a stake.
