Conner and Cordy??? I did not have the WB to watch Angel last season, so I totally missed out on the whole Conner being born and trying to kill Angel.....but still, even without knowing the history, Conner and Cordy is a big, fat, YUCK!!! Even Cordy looked a bit disgusted in bed...with herself maybe?? She could not even look at Conner. And poor Angel!!! I know he was a bad, bad man..but come on, how much pennance does one man have to do???? I just read in our boards that Charisma is preggers in real life and they plan to incorporate it into the story, so now I am really worried that this sicko storyline is going to get a bit sicker. Ewwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!
 
I totally agree with your sentiments on the sickness that was Connor and Cordy tonight. That was sooooo gross! I could not believe it. No wonder they made such a big deal about Connor being 18 years old. I was thinking at the beginning of the episode, wasn't he 16 last year? But I just figured they wanted to make him an adult. I guess this is the reason why!
 
I wouldn't put it in those words, but, yeah, I was disgusted seeing that at the end. I saw it coming, too and it still got me.
 
Ok that was nasty ok so he doesn't get anything but why did she have to go and sleep with him and poor Angel saw it i mean after she told him that she loved him to god that sucks big time! poor Angel!!
 
Connor and Cordy is indeed EWW! Connor himself is anoying, and I totally want C/A to happen, however this has a nice twist to it!

Eyes burning, no this can't be happening, this is completely and utterly disgusting...

This is why I hardly ever watch Angel. I watch Buffy a lot, but hardly ever Angel...

Please tell me this isn't a normal thing.

oh... this is wrong on SOOO many levels!

We all are in agreeement that Cordy/Connor is a repugnant image. I read on aint-it-cool-news.com that the prevailing theory is Charisma is preggers in real life, and her condition is being written into the show. That's a double-"EUWWWwww!!!"

And so why is she so bent on what Angelus did. My knowlege of the Whedon-verse is that as a vamp, Angel's (Liam's) soul was gone. The acts perpetrated were those of the demon who inhabited his body and inherited his memories. The Gypsy curse returned Liam to his original body... and Angelus was subdued by the body's orginal soul. "Angel" did NOT perform the atrocities Cordy remembers, even though he does 'remember' them and feel guilt for them; he was not a resident in the body.

As a higher being (when she 'saw' his past), Cordy should have gotten that.... Sheeeesh!!
 
Wow, that was very wrong. I mean I'm still stuck on the whole a couple of months ago she was bottle feeding him. And I really don't want C/A to happen but Cordy and Conner is a little bit too freaky for my taste. It just seemed so wrong, but I will give Joss credit on how it was done. With all the doom and gloom going on, the end of the world happening. And then there's the fact that she's Cordy Cordy, not I don't know who I am Cordy. I don't know who I am Cordy would have probably been more OK for me. But she knew full well what she was doing. And then Angel's all watching, but he looks more pissed than sad about it. I mean I can see where he's coming from, the being pissed off, but I would think the sadness would have been there more. But I'm sure its all part of the story. But did I mention how its still kinda wrong?
 
I certainly did not expect that. I really don't like it but it was an amazing twist. I can't wait to see how Angel reacts to this one, along with dealing with this big bad.

Maybe we need a new thread about Episode 4.07 that doesn't deal primarily with the Cordy/Connor incident.

FWIW, I think this Big Bad is going to be really hard to kill, by Angel or anyone. (Did I get get the impression that semi-automatic weapons slowed him down a bit, or was he just bored and waiting for Wes to run out of ammunition?)

I think the Big Bad is after Cordy because she's "important" which is one of the reasons she's been "sent back" from the higher-being plane.

I think the BB told Angel Cordy wasn't safe with Connor so that he'd witness them doing the nasty. (Bad for morale.)

I'm guessing Fred is angry at Gunn because she wanted to kill her evil professor herself, and resents his interference in her life decisions. Gunn is upset at Fred for giving him the cold shoulder after he thought he prevented he from making the worst mistake of her life by killing the professor himself (something he *really* didn't want to do in the first place).

Anyone else have any ideas?
 
I like your theories...I was also waiting for an official discussion thread for the episode, but it has yet to appear.

I think the weapons slowed the beast down...but is he the main worry? What will the portal he opened bring?? Will Cordy do a Buffy and close the portal with her life?

I think Fred is upset with Gunn because he seemed to kill the professor so easily...she was going to send him into another realm (where he might survive, like she did), but Gunn snapped his neck. I think in that moment she realized how wrong it is to kill.....although she seemed to be coming around in the last few scenes in the diner, even calling Gunn (I hope it was Gunn and not Wesley...never really knew which cell was ringing since they were together) as the world appeared to be ending.

I am also not sure who is important to the beast...Cordy or Conner. Niether one was killed by him. But I agree the beast's "she's not safe with him" message was a trick to get Angel to Conner's place and see them doing the nasty. Cordy is preggers in real life (and its being written into the show), so perhaps the message had something to do with unprotected sex 🙂 😉
 
For some reason when the whole Connor/Cordelia incident was occuring, I was convinced that someone was dreaming. I just KNEW that any minute Connor was going to wake up drenched in sweat and look over and see Cordelia on the bed next to him. I mean, her reasoning was so flawed that it seemed it had to be someone's dream. It's the end of the world so I need to sleep with the nearest warm body? Imagine if Lorne was the only one around. That would have made for some interesting viewing.

What was that all about? He had nothing else in his life so she gave him sex? Uh.......WTF! And even though both the Scooby's and AI have stopped apocalyptic things before she suddenly has no faith that Angel can save the day.
If they use Charisma's real preggers in the show as Connor and Cordy's....you know....don't make me say it....I cant say it! Anyway if they do I will be sooooooo pissed and disgusted!
 
Like everyone else.... EW! That's just totally disgusting! I felt sick to my stomach after seeing that. There was no point. Connor could have had a family, a father, but he's too proud to go to Angel and admit his mistake. Angel would've taken him back in a second.

Cordy and Connor together is just totally wrong. She's like his mother. She changed his DIAPERS. If she has a child on the show and it's his... I will be totally disgusted. And likely stop watching. There's only so far you can push my "absolutely disgusting" barrier.
 
first of all : okay the conner/cordy thing : I still want angel and cordy to get together but Connor is looking so hard for a l:ittle love and isn't getting any ( except from Cordelia ). I think he deserves a little bit of happyness so I really don't think it's that aweful.
Then : Fred/Gunn : I think Gunn is feeling guilty about killing a man and is trying to deal with that, but fred doesn't understand it. She has become such a could and hard woman!!!
Angel : It was really hard for him to see Connor and Cordelia but can anyone tell me : is he still Angel or is he Angelus already? He is so cold standing there just looking at them. Maybe he has become Angelus again after that fight with the Big Bad....
And hey, is wesley joining the team again? Hope so...
